Good morning!  Just got back from walking our dog & saw nobody had opened up the forum yet.  Heading out to get some grocery shopping done, then yardwork before the storms hit this afternoon.  No train stuff for a few days  :-[

Morning

Heat and humidity is too much for me.  38C with heat index yesterday is a bit much for this time of year.

Another hot day in SE NH, we might get some desperately needed rain tonight.  I'm expecting we'll go into formal drought restrictions soon.  :-(

Yesterday I cleaned the workbench, always the first step for a new project.

Sweated through the open door this morning.
Not only is our central air out of commission, our four year old LG refrigerator spun out its rotary compressor yesterday AM. Noe tech available for that until Friday. If bad luck comes in three's, can't wait to see what that one will be.
Cheers!
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

Morning all,

Came here to open but got side tracked with work stuff as soon as I signed on.   ::)  Today's hump day for me.  Tomorrow's my Friday and then a long vacation!  ;D  ;D  ;D

Rats.  When I buttoned up my current build yesterday I must have broke a wire.  My lighting isn't working.  Should be easy enough to fix although I may have to manufacture another goose neck lamp which is a pain in the butt.  >:(

We need some rain too.  I'm getting my irrigation system repaired/upgrade and an automatic controller installed.  After that new sod will be put down.  Of course the HOA sends out letters to everyone in the neighborhood about dead and dying lawns during an extremely dry spell.   ::)

Have a great one!

Good morning! I'm working on the railroad this morning. ;D  I need to mow at some point but that only takes an hour or so. I hope everyone has a great day.  Here is a F&SM photograph from the past.

Morning. I'll contribute to the broken AC talk this morning. Picked up my car after having some front suspension work done and  the AC didn't work. Didn't know if they unhooked or damaged something doing their work. I noticed the compressor wasn't engaging so I went to the fuse box and found the relay was bad. 6 bucks later it was cool and frosty.

Long time, no check-in.

I'm in the house for lunch.  Hot and muggy here, fans didn't accomplish much this morning.  House is almost as hot as it is outside.  Got rained off mowing the lawn, but the rain failed to cool off the day.  This afternoon's project is to wire an additional outlet box in my garage / shop.

I've been trying to find the energy to at least do a little figure painting evenings, that's the extent of any modeling.

 Late morning check in again...
Another hot one per the weatherman on TV...6th day in the 90's plus...3 more days to go will be a heat record of 3rd longest days ON RECORD over 90 here in Minnesota.
Farmers need rain badly...the soybean crops are dying down the road and corn is not growing much either...tough to work outdoors in this heat...
Stay safe everyone !

And more speaking of A/C ... we had a power bump that shutdown the house for a couple seconds. It was enough to screw up the A/C but did to know it until three hours later. I had to re-cycle the power to the furnace to get it re-set. Lets hope there is no issues with this two week old unit.

And yes, we had rain and still getting rain, so it it is coming your way (maybe).
