Well, next step in instructions called for a india ink/alcohol was on the walls. Did it, but do not like how it came out. So, will be giving it a light coat of the base color, thin enough to not hide the texture. But am going to let it all dry thoroughly before I do. Work tomorrow, so will tackle that over the weekend.

Jim,

The stucco came out great, interesting technique.  I like the way the front windows came out, too. Nice job masking and painting "after the fact".

Jerry, thank you.

Got the walls repainted, I'm happy with how they look. Windows all installed. I forgot to prime the metal castings, which include a few doors. However, I'm not too crazy about the look of the metal ones, so I ordered a Tichy assortment, will use plastic ones from it. Will be a few days till they get here, and I need the bench space to pack up some model kits I am selling, so I'm going to wait before proceeding.

I have a HOn30 caboose kit I'll start, as a side project, for now.

More to come.

Nice job on the stucco.  I like the color scheme as well.

Nice work, Jim.

Stucco looks very convincing.

Cheers, Mark.

My Tichy assortment arrives today, and I did manage to get time to clean up all the metal castings, so hope to get all the items primed later today, or in the AM at the latest.

A bit of progress. All the windows are glazed, now, except the store front. The sheet styrene that came with the kit is scratched and dingy looking, somewhat. Will make a trip to Michaels tomorrow, for new. And yes, I know I can use other clear pastics. Trouble is, I can't find a thing in the house usable lol.

I did as Daryl suggests, gave the windows a wash of flat clear, for a filmy look for the glass. Not the front, and won't do the big windows. The Mrs let old man Carrick know in no uncertain terms that her shop would definitely have plate glass in the store front, despite his complaining about cost. She has one of the girls who works there give them a cleaning each morning. They like her, so they do it gladly (and she pays well).

Jim some really nice stucco.  I love the paint color with stucco really makes it stand out.
