Good morning from the mitten state!  All the morning buffet accoutrements are out on the table.  If you can imagine it, it';s out there.  I couldn't, so it's not enumerated... ;D  Diet Pepsi for Tom and Diet DocP for TomO in Badger country. Make mine Diet Coke...

We have a heat wave in a relative manner today, 30o warmer at 20o and it's all for naught at it is Grey shade #28 and we have a day of snow moving it to add treachery to the potential for any outdoor activity.  :-\

I started a major layout cut and move, a whole 180o curve being cut and moved 6-7" to allow more room for the trestle I have building in the echos of my mind.  I failed to realize the real estate that the bases of the bents take up to make the project feasibility goal.  The process is going ok.  More to do.  I had to totally remove the turntable and roundhouse scene I had roughed in.

Deer sleeping out at the back pine line, they've been very mobile and active lately.  I had one run right up to the edge of the roadway and stop, look around then go back the other way on my way home from OPS. :o good defibrillator.. There are herds/flocks of dozens of them foraging in the fields every day.  Some of the does appear that they were way-laid by one of the bucks back in the fall...it may be a productive Spring as they come full term.

Enjoy the Monday, all.  Be well.

NEWS FLASH:  GROUNDHOG SEES SHADOW, 6 MORE WEEKS OF WINTER.

(Pay no attention to imposters.  The real weather prognosticator lives in a hole in Punxsutawney, PA.)

It'll get up to a balmy 31 today, still no signs of above freezing temps in SE NH.  I'm OK with that.

After German class (via Zoom, teacher is recovering from ankle replacement surgery), I'll head down to the train room for more work on the barn.

Morning all,

Karl, thanks for the Diet Pepsi. A great way to start my day.

35 here and to me it feels like -5. I'm a Florida Cracker so anything below 45 is freezing.

I'm in the train shed and will be working on the '25 Winter Challenge. Update later this afternoon.

Have a great, warm and safe day ya'll.

Morning everyone

Nice picture Karl.

It's just plain old cold in South Jersey.  Today I think we get out of the 20's.
And yes that rodent did see his shadow!!
But for a "Groundhog" he has a pretty nice life!!

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Mornin,' All!

Heat wave here in the northern mitten!  24, feels like 16, grey blanket and WGFA arriving in fits and spurts.

In addition to Phil seeing his shadow this morning, the bad news continues with the news that Bob Brown passed away in his sleep.  He had a good life, is now with Irene again, and his "Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette" will continue from White River Productions.  Rest in peace, Sir!

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Morning all,

Twenty two and headed to thirty degrees.  Hopefully we're out of the deep freeze.

Maybe some work later on the kit, otherwise nothing planned for today.

Sad news, Pete!  I got to meet Bob Brown at a NNGC, and expressed my admiration and appreciation for the Gazette and how that magazine maintained its VERY high production standards over its history.  His editorials on early narrow gauge modeling history were always interesting reading.

Morning. Just got in from some morning errands. A trip to Hobby Lobby for some supplies, credit union to pay some bills and took my truck to the carwash to remove about a 1/4" of road salt off of it. Got a little work done on my Fos build yesterday and will try to get more done today.

Good afternoon, all. This is the first time the lower Merrimack Valley has gotten above freezing in at least 10 days. But it will take several more of these to shrink the plow banks visibly.  Today so far has been an errand, Trolley Museum stuff and Town stuff.  Now I'm off till dinner time!
