Heat wave in Michigan this morning, 11o with a high raging up to or near 14o !  More wind and snow to stir the pot.  Drivers continued to pilem up all over the W side of the state yesterday.  It was a good one to stay inside.

Eggs and grits on the menu this morning, hang on I'll wipe them off so you can read it.... ::)

Bench time and layout time is my plan today.  I managed to make a lot of sawdust yesterday and as power tools were involved I managed to draw blood early on, no foul... :-\   I also had the 3d machine at work as well.  Today, DeJaVu...

I hope all are well, we will have biscuits and gravy, coffee, tea, OJ for all y'all in FLA and diet Pepsi and Diet Coke in the cooler, and if TomO comes by, I have a diet DocP in the bottom under the ice.

Be safe.  KS

Morning All,

No need for OJ in Florida...hot coffee for 34 degree weather. I rode my bike for the first time in a while yesterday and I thought my ears would fall off. Haven't much layout progress to share from my first month of retirement as other issues have jumped the line, but I'm excited to get rolling in February.

In other train-related news, I've booked my hotel for the NNGC in Minnesota. I've been to a prior one there and remember meeting some very cordial hosts and some beautiful layouts...my wife is even threatening to join me. I spent 3 weeks in Edina years ago when my partners and I bought a DQ and I was chosen to attend DQU...beautiful city and very nice people. Looking forward to it.

Honestly, don't think I'll get to the trains today, but I'll be back with you all soon.

Morning all,

Three above headed to a high of twenty two today.  Warming trend.

Good to hear you're retirement is going well, John.  I was just thinking about making my reservations as well.

Headed to the dentist soon, maybe some bench time later, but an issue with the Medicare Supplement people may take some time as well.

It's 10 here in southeast NH at 8:30, up from 5 and headed to 22.  Temps will be in this range for the next 10 days, we might touch freezing early next week.

Off to the exercise machine and then the train room in a bit.

Good Morning all!!   0 here in western RI this morning.  It's supposed to be colder on the weekend.  I think the workbench will have to wait so I can finish tidying up the snow in the driveway today.  Looking forward to warmer temps so I can try out my new air brush.

Morning all,

Not much to add this morning. Lots of errands to run with Pam, maybe some bench time later.

Have a safe and warm day everyone.

Good morning, all. Bright sun over the lower Merrimack Valley is beginning to expand the spots where I got down to pavement Tuesday. Appointment in a bit, modeling this afternoon, then a Seashore track work planning meeting online.

Mornin' All!

13 here in the northern mitten today, feels like -5, still colder than Anchorage's 20....  Grey blanket firmly in place on top, and the Coast Guard helo is apparently looking for ice on the Bay.  Op session tonight should go well as the roads are plowed and salted and it might actually wrm up enough for the salt to work.

Snowblower was delivered this morning, so my reliable friend has had its annual checkup.  Good for a machine I bought in 1978!

Make it a great day, All!  Be positive, test negative and stay safe!

Afternoon all,

Testing out a new, blu tooth, keyboard for my tablet. It seems a lot easier to type out a reply using a real keyboard vs. the on screen keyboard the table provides.

I didn't get to the workbench yesterday, in spite of my best intentions. I'm going to pull it out shortly and get back at it.

Have a great one!

As a touch-typist, I'm pretty fussy about keyboards.  I can use the one on the laptop, but for 'real work' I use a mechanical keyboard that has a lot more key travel.

It sits in the living room, next to the wine rack. It's on wheels. We have a small house and my better half tolerates it. I only move it into the spare room when we have company. I wheel it over to where I normally sit when I'm so motivated.  ;D

Second question does the wine rack have wheels??? :)  Now that would be really important!!  ;) ;D
