Frank,
Thank you for allowing John to take so many photos of your layout and share them with us.  Not only is your modeling absolutely outstanding, your scene composition is wonderful.  Your scenes are not something that the viewer simply looks at, but are composed so that they actually draw the viewer deeper into the scene.  Again, great modeling, kudos to you and John for sharing with us.

Jerry,

Thank you for your kind words and you comments about sharing. I think that sharing is one great features of the forum. This is one big family of modelers that can and do share pictures and text on elements of their railroad and how they build all the details. Sharing only makes us better modelers and better people. Thanks for stopping by.

Vilius,

Sorry you were not able to see the railroad last year. Actually, what you are seeing on the thread is much more current and lot of the layout was not as complete last year as it is today. Glad you are enjoying the pictures. You are always welcome to visit. Thanks for your kind words.

Good evening Phil.

Some days you make headway and some days not. Today was a not day. I poured more resin in two new areas. You guessed it, both leaked. Now i not only have a stain on the carpet, but low tide on the river. We will see how things fair tomorrow. I'm sure that most of what I am trying to accomplish will be done. Its the anticipation that is the hard part. Stay tuned, more pics soon. thanks for your kind words.

Good Morning Karl,

Thank you for your kind words on my layout. It has been a long venture to get this far. I have been working on the layout for 21 years and have about another 4 to "Complete" the project. Most say you will never complete it, but the wife would like to "downsize", so that being said, I continue to work feverishly on my project. Always good to hear that you like my project. If your ever out this way ( Arizona) let me know. Seeing a layout in person is always better. Thanks again. More pics soon.

I like the way the waterfall turned out.  Looking good, progress every day. I highly recommend seeing Frank's layout in person if you get a chance.  You just can't capture the vista with a picture.

Good Morning John,

Glad you like the water feature in Little Falls. I now have several water features done, less the two leaks that occurred yesterday. You are making me get a fat head with all your comments about my layout. Keep it up and I won't be able to get into some access openings of the layout. Only kidding. I can see the end of this phase, I think, but the boss is getting a little testy on the amount of time I am spending in the train room. Only kidding, well almost.  You are right about seeing the layout in person versus the photos. Fo most, the photos are the only way, but if anyone is coming to Arizona, let me know. In the meantime, I'll keep posting pictures.

Dave,

Thanks for the waterfall picture. There are a couple of things that I like and will attempt to do on the waterfall in Essex Falls that I have been working on. In the meantime, I have started the other waterfall in Little Falls. There are actually two waterfalls and the river that runs below the bridge on the East side of town.
Back to the bridge and waterfall at hand. I saw this bridge design many years ago. I believe Clint Crow was the designer. Anyway, using parts from a Central Valley model, I fabricated this bridge. The water behind the bridge shows signs of flooding with tree debris on the left hand side embankment. The falls is only partially finished. I ran out of the  modified waterfall material and had to make more. There is probably another day or two to finish this waterfall. Behind this waterfall is a larger falls that will be more in silhouette that fully detailed. Since the leak that I had the other day on the upper portion of the stream, I have decided to pour a small amount of resin on the upper lever of the river. That will bring the water level up to the top ( well almost to the top ) of the spillway.

Good Morning Karl,

Thank you again for your kind words. Here is another photo of the Little Falls bridge showing more work on the water falls. Probably another day or so before this will be complete. Needed drying time to move to from one step to the next. Glad you enjoy the bridge.
