Can I ask who makes the large trees that are in the scene at the top of the previous page?  They look great!

Thanks
Jon

Jon,

Thanks for stopping by and glad you enjoy the trees. The trees you refer to are sage brush trees. I purchased them years ago from a company no longer in business. Scenic Express carries them, although I have not purchased any from them as of yet. If you want to know the sub foliage and leaf foliage, let me know. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was in New York City. My wife and I took our oldest granddaughter their as a present for graduating H.S. Just got back.

Phil,

You bring up an interesting point. I guess it is just a strange coincidence. but I prefer the greenery. The same could be said about the structures. All of mine reflect the east coast, not the west. I guess you can't take where you grew up out of me. Just got back from there. Thanks for stopping by.

Frank,
Nice to have you back. Hope you had a good trip. How was the airport strip search? Knowing you, you probably wore airport friendly clothes. Me I prefer the humiliating strip search in front of the nicest looking girl in the world while I pick up my stinky shoes on the nasty airport floor, but that's another story!!!  T...

Good Evening Thom,

Actually the airport was smooth sailing. Not what the news media has been portraying of recent. Good to be back home. New York is fun to visit, but I would not want to live there. Too many people and too expensive. And the biggest disappointment was the lack of train stores. I did visit one and was disappointed.

thanks for the info Frank!

Jon,

The sage brush trees are, in my humble opinion, probably the best tree going. The texture, color and form are the best, especially up close. I hope to see a post of your project in the near future. As a newbie, remember we like pictures and never feel bad about asking questions from any members of the forum.

Good Morning All.

Been busy with some house projects, but was able to get into the train room yesterday. I get these ideas sometimes and then look to see if they will work. I have some room next to Spencer's Paper and visualized adding another building next to the track. The building was part of Vogue furniture and did not fit that scene as well as I expected. Upon initial inspection, the building looked like it would fit very well. So I cut our the existing ground to create an opening for the building. Three pictures show the before with the opening,  testing the building in place and an overview of the surrounding buildings. Well, i like it and now have to add a loading platform to the building, install the building, finish off the scenery around the building. The water in the scene is not yet complete and will be next on the priority list.

Greg,

Here is the building in its final place. building is secured. Now to add some scenery and this project is done. This building used to reside in Chester. it was replaced with 630 Elm street home and garage. It looks like there is enough room to add another Elm Street building, so that is what I am going to do. I'll post a couple of pics soon.

It looks good three Frank. There is always room for one more structure.

Thanks John, The next picture ( below) shows an area at the west end of Chester. After some consideration, this area will grow into a more residential area. With one house already in, and one situated there, I plan on adding one or two more of the 630 Elm street houses. The hill behind will be fully covered with trees. So Chester will have a few more houses. Slowly filling in Chester and Little falls.
