Hi All:

Stating the Metzger Building Tonight. Reading the instructions at this point and studying the diagrams.  Looks like an interesting build. Hope to get started on the walls tonight

I have this one but won't get to it for some time. Was looking it over the other night and wondering when a build thread would pop up.  Picked colors yet?

Karl,
I will follow your build to. Looks like a very interesting limited run structure from FOS that is still available on their website.
Reminds me of the Ludlow Building that sold out several years ago.

Karl,

I'm really looking forward to your build on this one. I have it but it is way down the list as a build for me.

Hi Tom:

Thanks. Walls, corner trim. freeze boards, windows and doors are painted Floquil Earth. By-the-way no bracing is added before I paint my walls. It just gets in my way.

Here's a photo on my bench.

Karl,
Are you using the newer water based Poly S Earth or the older solvent based Floquil Earth as your paint for this build  ?
Only asking since I still use both types.

Hi Karl,

You know I'll be following along as well.  If Doug hadn't premiered his new Red Light District kit at the EXPO I may well have come home with this one.  As it turned out, however, I ordered the Red Light District instead.   :D

Karl,
Thanks for advising the use of Floquil based Earth solvent paint for the walls of this build.
After reading your response , I had to go downstairs , put the fan on, and open a few bottles of that stuff
to paint several castings tonight !
