This is the only shot I got of the Pool Hall and it was by accident.

Thank goodness John knew what he was doing.

This time around I'm going to breakup the F&SM into sections using the layout map. We will go around the layout starting in Muddville and will cover all the sections in an area before moving on to the next section. So Franklin will start with tower 1 in section R 11, we will then move to R 10 and R 9 then move over a section and do Q 9, Q 10, and Q 11 etc. Remember that each section is 2 feet square so we can have a number of structures within a section.  We will work our way around the benchwork in this pattern. We will see if we covered the whole layout with pictures. As we come to a particular structure, we will look at all the photographs I have from every angle then move on to the next structure as we did in the previous thread. I will also post a reverence page if you want to refer back to the previous thread for a particular structure. The index will not only serve as a guide to find our favorite structure, but will also give us a structure count. At least until George changes something.  My guess is that it has already happened. Now, I know how to sort the pictures.  Let the sorting begin. Posting to follow.

It's time to refresh our memory on what are grid looks like - we have just completed section Q 11 and we are about to move into section Q 10.

As promised here is an update of the structure count:

Muddville, Wellington, and East Franklin           33
Section R 10                                                  12
Section Q 11                                                   5
Subtotal                                                        50

This post will be updated after we complete each section.

Before we go back to section Q10 and look at the structures, let's zoom back out and take a picture from the isle way.

We can see Maxwell's Bicycle Works the large building on the left way up on the top of the hill. We can also see the Franklin Station Hotel green (roofing) - this is also seen closer up in the picture picture that Tom posted above. This will be our next featured structure.

But first, I want you to notice that we have three main streets that work their way up the hill in Franklin in this area.

One of the goals I had for this photo shoot was to capture what it looks like to George's little people as they walk the streets of Franklin. So before we go back to looking at the individual structures - let's take a break and look at these three streets from the vantage point of "the little people".

Can you tell where you are?  Notice the green roof awnings of the Franklin Station Hotel.

Here is the next street over to the right. I couldn't reach street level on this one - I only had a 4 foot arm extender.  George - I'm going to be asking you if these streets have names so if they don't you can make some up before I call.

Many more street scene pictures to come but it's time to get back to section Q 10 and some structure pictures of the Franklin Station Hotel.

Wow, 1700 photos, that's amazing. And, I think we have that many still to go if not more.
