Hi Tom:

That looks just about like mine. Here's what I came up with as the final scheme.

1) Painted walls with a light gray.

2) Heavilly dry-brushed the walls with Light blue and wedgewood blue.

3) Added nailhole and A&I

4) Lightly dry-brushed wall with light gray.

5) windows, doors and corner trim are white.

And as I said looks almost like the3 photo of the building you posted.

Karl,

I like the light gray and brushed with the blue you did. Like you said, not many structures look good blue or are blue.

If I remember correctly, I applied the A&I, then very thin Tamiya Sky blue and dry brushed with Floquil Antique White and then a final light coat of A&I.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your color turns out on the structure.

Karl,

The color looks wonderful. Very close match, if not the same, to the Tamiya paint. Very well blended my friend.

I'm starting to do a thread on the other FOS like structure, the Juniper Freight House. QK#37

Hi
guys:

Roofs are done. The small peaked roof was a bit of a challenge. I tried a few ways till I came up with a fairly easy method. I cut triangles from the roofing paper same as those on the roof card. Cut the roofing strips on the lines. Apply thin coat of white glue to each triangle and put the roofing on. Applied folded strips to the corners. Put tar around the seam. Looks like need a little more. Then added finial. Dry-brushed the roof.

Hi Guys:

Started working on the platform. This is a firs. Laser cut template for the platform supports. Easy to deal with and not long to assemble. Thanks for this idea Doug.

Hi All:

Did some more work on the kit. I added rafter tails for interest. Not included in kit.  Also tried something I never tried before. I attached my platform boards with 3M 465 tape and it worked great and cut the time, probably, in half. No gluing all this tiny edges.

also had some extra 2X6's so I added a horizontal brace on the platform supports.

Here's a photo.

Hi Guys:

The building is finished. Next is detail the freight dock. I tried it again. Used 3M tape to apply rafters to bottom of roof and the glued roof in place. Boy did that save some time with gluing all those rafters in place. I keep finding more uses for that stuff.

I've used transfer tape on decking but not for rafter takls. Great idea. Shininess must not show?
