The bed was all scratch built from 1/16 basswood for the posts, hand sanded with 300 grit, and the frame, and headboard are 2x basswood. The lighter detail pieces are made from 1x basswood.
The first post took me about an hour and a half to figure out, and the others I was able to cut down to 30-40 minutes each. The sheet, and pillow are pieces of balsa covered with tissue painted with white, and off white paint. The hardest part was cutting the grooves in the headboard. I tried sanding, and cutting, neither worked. I than used a fine point in a dremel, and pretty much burned a little at a time, and finished with a jewelers file. It was fun to build, and really not that hard....Thanks again for all the great Comments....
