..thanks gang for the input on the door change, I'm happy with the new storefront.....and yes Dave, the colors are bright, but that is a typical sight in today's restoration efforts in Newport....but I will tone this one down a bit as I proceed....

..and so on this rainy, 70 degree NC day, I stayed in and did some more work on this one....notice at this point I have decided on 4" Clapboard siding....another rather typical siding used in Newport.....storefront in, for the most part...and starting installing the windows, etc....

...and here's a picture that will prove the difference is in the details....reference back to the original picture of the existing building in Newport and notice the extra header details of the front windows....so I tried to replicate it by making a dentil header using laser-board...the stock window of course is on the right.....

It is all about the details.  Very nicely done.  Will you have one for me at the EXPO?  My new city is going to need a lot of storefront buildings.
