Awesome progress Tom!   It's always fun to see what you are up to these days.

;D ;D ;D

Cousin Brucie,

Thank you, very much appreciate the kind words. Glad you are enjoying the adventure.

Yesterday I spent several hours converting some wasted space for a more useful one.

The area is 8' long, 2' wide and 32 inches high.

I started by ripping a 2X4 down the middle. The 2X2's were laid on the carpet between the layout legs.

I cut several cross 2X2 pieces and laid them in place as shown.

The cross 2X2 pieces are screwed to the longer 2X2s. However the entire 2X2 form is free floating.

A 3 ply, 3/8" plywood base was cut and screwed to the 2X2s.

I then cut to fit two plywood sides and screwed them in place.

Now I have a new storage area. One where I can see what I stack there.

I forgot to mention I also pulled all the buss wires prior to making the storage area.

Diet Pepsi time, back in a few.

Last week I finished the water in the Suwannee River Lagoon.

I followed Dave Frary's video on using Mod Podge. However, I didn't use the brush he suggested and I only applied two coats instead of the 10-12 he used on the Seaport diorama.

I used one of my Babe's discarded makeup brushes. It's much smaller than the one Frary used. Meaning he used a paint brush and not a makeup brush.

I took my time in the applications and the results worked very well.

Wow, Tom -- that's pretty amazing. Without the facia and ceiling around the edges of the shots, I don't know that I would be able to tell it's a model. Well done.

Tom - The A&S continues to give us more great views. One of life's disappointments is that I never got to see it in person. Florida trips are over. Jim
