I see from this next photo I'll need to reset the roof.

Here is how it looks in the overall scene.

Remember the small green area behind the three horizontal tanks?

The next picture tells the rest of the story. I planned this area for some palm trees.

I planted more palms around the layout.

Time for a Diet Pepsi. Back later this afternoon.

Looking great!  Interesting to see Florida scenic layout as opposed to the usual Northern or western interpretation.  Jim

Jim,

Thank you, your kind words are appreciated. Once the Babe and I visited Cliff Powers and his wonderful MAG Route, I knew this new layout was a matter of time. I love how he captured the look and feel of the South.

I told Cliff, "I'm gong home, rip out my old layout and plagiarize all I can into my version of a North Florida, South Georgia layout theme."

Well, I've been quiet on the layout thread but not quiet on the work. There are many updates, mostly scenery wise. I've been updating some old faded scenery areas as well as finishing the fuel facility area.

I'll have a few up dates later this afternoon.

I planted a few palms around Caldwell Junction. Caldwell Junction is the name of the FOS kit here. It is also the maiden name of my Aunt Jane, Caldwell without the Junction. LOL!

You can see in the previous photos the scenery is still wet as evidenced by the dirt road.

I also finished the chain link fence. It was a fun project but very tedious and time consuming. Although I think it was well worth the effort, it will be a very long time before I take on this project again.

Here's a look through one section.
