Beautiful modeling as always Tom. Of course the pictures do not do justice to your layout.

Over the past week I've been experimenting with larger format pictures on this thread.

I've made my decision to stick with my old normal size formatted pictures. While the larger size is nice, they take much longer to load into the gallery and an equal amount of time to load to the thread.

My guess is this is the reason S&S RR only loads one picture per post.

After these next few pictures, I'll return to the normal size pictures for the A&S thread and post two smaller ones per post. If I have a large area I'm trying to show, I'll post a larger picture. This will be a very rare occasion though.

Continued in a few.

You are correct about the way I'm loading pictures.  When I process pictures from my iPhone with Apple Photos the pictures are way to small and grainy on the medium setting. On the large setting I like the photos but you need to use the scroll bar to see the whole picture. And yes, I'm posting one picture per post because I don't like waiting for the pictures to load on to the forum. I need to use aperture to downsize the photographs with my SLR - this is a much longer process which will only be used for finished sections of my layout - final pictures.

Have you guys tried XNVIEW where you can change the size of your pictures before you upload them to the forum. Plus it has a lot of other features you may want to use.  It is very easy to use.

Hey Jan,

Thanks for following along. No, it just happened to be the last picture I posted. This thread isn't going away unless we have another forum crash. In that case, I'll just start where I'm currently in the build. No more going back and reposting all the pictures as I did last October, 2016.

Curt,

Thank you kind sir. I get many visitors saying the pictures don't do the layout justice. But I think that applies to all layouts as well.

Enjoyed your visit Saturday. The lunch at SM wasn't bad either.

John,

I figured that was what you were doing. I don't have the patience to wait for the larger format photos to load either.

My little 580 X 327 pixels is large enough for others to view and I don't have to wait on the load to the computer or the forum.

I certainly have no problem with one post per picture either. I like the two pictures per post which works best for me.

I enjoy your larger pictures. Keep it up, the pictures posting that is. Oops!

Steve,

I use Irfanview for my pictures. I do change the size prior to loading to the forum. What I was referring to is that even if I use the larger format in pixels after the cropping/prior to loading, it still takes several more seconds to load, both to the gallery and then the thread.

Irfan view is very easy and has over a hundred things/features one can do to the photo.

I appreciate your comment.
