I made the decision to forgo the right wall section. I'll use the support posts for the roof panels and support for the brass wires.

This will work -

This won't work -

Here is how the roundhouse will look without the side wall section.

It's dark inside without the lights!

I guess I can always lean the wall section against the posts. No, I tried it and it doesn't look good at all.

No more updates until next week. I'm leaving early in the AM to visit Cliff Powers and the Historic Mississippi, Alabama and Gulf.

I know the roof is in 3 sections, could you leave off the back side roofing to see inside? Another option is not to glue down the roofing panels so they could be removed when so desired.

On my CM roundhouse, I got small but strong magnets (1/16 diameter).  I glued one to the roof and another to the wall in several locations.  The problem I had was getting a strong enough bond to keep the wall magnets from sticking to the roof when I removed the roof.

Thanks for the kind words about Kris's tress. She loves doing them. She is working on more for the ACL as we speak.

Curt,

Yes, all the roof sections are removable. Only the sky lights, rear and north walls are glued in place. Appreciate the input.

Dave,

Great idea and it sounds like your magnets are to strong. My panels are kept in place by gravity. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Bill and of curse Kris,

The praise is well deserved. I'm very honored, as I mentioned earlier, to have her realistic looking trees on the A&S RR.

I finished the brass conduits for the rear of the roundhouse. I used 5mm warm white floods for the LEDs.

I needed to pull some 'warpage' out of the roof, so that's why they're strong.  You could definitely find weaker magnets, like those in magnetic business cards.  Michaels and other craft stores have an assortment of magnets, if you can find them.  Definitely worth thinking about for your removable wall.

Dave,

Okay, I misunderstood what you meant. Did the strong magnets work on the warp issue?

Thin paper magnets is certainly a consideration, thanks.

To hide the power wires, I cut a short length of 3/32" brass tubing and glued it on the inside of the post as shown.

I used four brass tube sections.
