After drying, I removed the blocks and stacked a few against the wall for a look see.



I then removed them in order, applied a bead of Elmer's glue to the bottom and worked my way up. I applied a bead of glue for each row.

That gondola looks like a tight squeeze with the stone walls.  Better have a no clearance sign for the car riders.  :)

I'm using Evergreen Polystyrene I-beams for the track supports over the ash pit.




I cut slots in the blocks for the I-beams.

I removed 14 ties from the code 83 ME track and glued a section of I-beam to the bottom of the rail.



I then cut short pieces of I-beam and glued them under the track I-beam for the I-beam supports. The track was then placed in the pit for a test fit. Nothing glued at this time.

So far so good.
