I didn't see anywhere else to put this so I hope it is alright here. It is more of a kitbash rebuild.
I need a small gas station for the layout. I also have an old Campbells supply kit I built back in the 70's that is falling apart and needs help. ( I can never throw anything away). The supply house I want to use in the New Lisbon yard but it is to long. So to kill two birds with one stone I will cut off the office and use it for my gas station.
Here is the building

and here separated.

I will put the larger section away for now and start on the gas station rebuild.

Very cool building.

Thanx

Did you ever notice how many towns are named after their water towers ! ?

I proceeded to cut the base off and put it in my scrap bin. I cut off the roof and threw it away, it was cardboard. I then separated the wall sections, removed the old signs and the windows and door.

now to get these cleaned up.

I added the bracing, painted the inside black, reassembled and painted.

this is the leftover piece for the ice cream stand build. I removed one window, added a door and made this shed for the gas station scene.

Well played. Looks like a great addition to the layout.

Door and windows in and starting on some signs.

The station will have to overhangs, one up front over the pumps and one on the side. Started gluing in rafters.

Looking good - I noticed the granite layout table.  I managed to make one out of the sink cutout when we remodeled our kitchen.

John, this one is a machinists surface plate, I was a tool maker in a different lifetime.

I have the roof all shingled and painted, also added the side overhang.

I will add support posts when I mount it to the concrete base.

Installed the front overhang and the concrete base.

Now for the support posts.

Pretty much done with this one. A few more details when it gets on the layout.
