Thank you John, RLM's kits are great , and this one is a lot of fun with all the details . Did I mention there are even pigeons in this kit.  ;D

Jan,

Nice job on the water tank. The strands of wire is a neat trick I'll keep in mind. You must have a 10X Opti-Visor to work in "N" scale.

I need one just to see your thread. ;D ;D ;D

I think strips of styrene work best for larger scales, but in N-scale it's hard to cut styrene thin enough.

I had glasses made for my hobby , they are a sunglass frame with very strong reading lenses in them.

Primed the metal castings.

First paint for the metal castings.

Decks for the staircase and frame for the loading dock roof.

Roof installed and sign placed on loading dock. More weathering later.

Stair treads installed.

Jan,

Great job on the structure. It is turning out to be a show stopper. And, all the casting will really bring it to life.

BTW, my eye doctor wouldn't make me special glasses for the hobby. He said he didn't want my eyes to get used the close up lens. He said to use the opti visor with my regular readers.

I really don't see the difference. I'm still looking through a magnified lens. ???

Thank you very much Tom. I'll have to consult my eye doctor about that issue , although like you I don't see the difference.

Really a great job you're doing on this build Jan.  I like the colors you chose for the building.

Thank you Mark and John. Both colors are from rattle cans bought at a store called Action , something you might call Dollar Stores.

Jan,
Just getting caught up on this build.  Several years ago I built an N scale structure for a friend.  I used cast windows and struggled throughout with how delicate everything is.  I cannot imagine actually assembling windows with separate sashes.
Great color choice, I am impressed by how well everything blends together.  I'm sorry I didn't find time to get on board earlier in the build.
