Scratch Build Stock Pens

Has anybody out there built a HO scale stock pen similar to the one that Walthers offers? If so do you have any plans that you would be willing to share?

I just built some for our meat packing plant which we display on our club layout in HO scale. I looked at the Campbell kit and felt it was simplistic enough that I could do something similar with stained strip wood. I googled a number of photos and there are some modern plans out there. I did make a jig for the basic fence sections. The loading and unloading ramps were "engineered" based on the track height and cars that will be used on the display, including the upper level stock cars.


You did not mention period or geography you are modeling but there is a lot of variety and "emergency fixes" constantly being used. I'll try to find some photos.
