Thanks - it's coming along. I will have a lot of hours in this project before we get to take the pictures on the layout.

The bags are an equally good way to hold down the roof cards while the glue dries.

Here are a few pictures of the Threadwell's main structure after the stone work was painted with the chalks. The next step is to add the mortar.

I've learned that you don't have to be neat when you add the mortar. The big soft brush take it off the stone faces

I then added the mortar for the bricks using a stiff brush to get it down into the mortar lines.

Here is a progress shot where I've taken the soft brush to the stone work and started cleaning the faces of the brick with a gum eraser.

This final picture for tonight is getting close to the end of this part of the process. Just a little touch up to do.
