Tom, that cork looks like it is one piece.  Great job.

Jim

Jim,

Thank you. One piece, yes, it is now. ;D ;D

Been following along.  You really do some excellent track laying Tom.  Like Jim said, the cork looks like it's made like that...not fitted in by you.  With the track installed on what appears to be perfectly laid cork, the trains must glide over those rails!  As usual having fun following your thread.  Keep those pics coming.

Mark,

Thank you for the compliment on the cork and track. I've learned over the years to just do it right and all will be fine.

So far, the passenger cars do glide over the track and turnouts. More pics are on the way.

Today was spent wiring the wye north of Summit.

I installed a PSX-AR (auto reverser) and will test it later. Well, actually I tested it as I dropped and soldered feeders. A full test will be done later today and I'm sure the Judge will put it to a full test tomorrow.

A good friend, PennsyJ1, sent me this video of a crossing.

Seems like for all he moving parts, the crossing could have just been laid in.

Curt,

Yes, that would be an eye catcher on any layout for sure.

The Summit "Y" was thoroughly tested today. I'm happy to report no issues and NO derailments. The Judge will have more on this in the Saturday Report.

I put the Judge and Reading Bob to work this morning. Judge was at the throttle and Bob was the switchman.

Wonder if the NMRA would approve that for Master Model Railroader - Civil Engineering?
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

Tom, are you going to install a backdrop where the Ovalix is, or leave it open so you can watch the progress of the train?

Chip,

Only if you are part of their "group". The NMRA is the most over rated, nose in the air group I've ever known.

Just saying, this is the reason I've always been a GDI.
