This is coming along great!  You're really making me want to break out my tug an build it.  I should have bought the barge to go with it.   ::)

When the scene is finished make sure you send a few pictures to Bruce at Sea Port Model Works so he can add them to the gallery on his website.

Bob,

Thank you and I'm happy you made it back safely.

I have a FOS Barge you are welcome to have. It was a kit of the month.

I will definitely send photos to Bruce.

I finished the tug and barge this morning. Hopefully I'll have time this afternoon or evening to post the update.

The exterior sides of the tug were washed with Hunterline Rust A&I.

The tires for the side of the tug were painted and dry brushed with Floquil Antique White.

I'm not sure of the proper term for my nautical knot I used but it was a variation of a noose or running knot. Anyway, the tires were glued to the side and front using 5 minute epoxy. The rope was pulled over the gunwale and glued to the inside of the tug.

The life preserver ring was painted and set aside to dry. I went with three rings instead of four simply due to it being easier to hand paint.

I dry brushed the wheel house and engine room walls with Floquil Antique White. The tug parts were then all glued in place.

I was going to stain and then glue HO scale lumber to the sides and rear of the barge so it would look more like a wood sided barge. I didn't want to take the extra time for this as it won't show much of the work once in place.

I did stain the sides with Hunterline Medium Brown.

More in a few.

At this point the tug and barge are finished. The only thing left is to add the tow rope. This will be done after the tug and barge are in place once the resin water is poured and dry.

Everything looks awesome Tom. In real life the barge would also have side lights and a stern light.

I bet lights would look good reflected off of the water.
