Doing a great job Tom , this is the same structure in N-scale , you can never have enough gas stations.

And here in a lineup with other kits from Darryl including Janbouli's Golf Tee's
I love photo's, don't we all.

This will be a neat build , smart move with glue stick.

Lynn,

Thanks for following along. I've been using glue sticks for several years now along with the along with the 3M transfer tape. I'm surprised we haven't heard more about modelers using the stick.

I for one sure light it and have never had any paper to paper or paper to cardboard come apart.

Jan,

Thank you, much appreciated. I love the station you did as well as the one to the right. I remember when you did that one, very neat kit as well.

Jim,

Thanks for following along. You know very little grass grows under my feet when a new project is started. 8)

Now it's time to add some neat details to the front.

Darryl has included in the kit the letters for LUBRICATION  and WASHING  for the front above the bay doors.

I painted them blue and set aside to dry.

Thank goodness they are in a carrier. When dry, I cut them out and using double sided tape, stuck them on a dowel for further painting.

Once on the dowel, I painted all the edges and then set them aside to dry.

More in a few.

Once dry, I removed them from the dowel.

They remind me of the Campbell's Alphabet Soup.

I then used tape to hold the carriers in placed over the bay doors.

I then used a new #11 blade and stabbed one letter at a time. Holding the #11 blade up, I carefully applied a very tiny amount of canopy glue to the back of each letter.

The letter was then placed back into the carrier and in the corresponding letter stencil.

When dry, I carefully removed the carrier thus leaving the letters glued to the front wall.

One more detail to be added later to the front wall.

Here is a full view of the front wall from the front and the back of the interior wall.

Note: you can see the silver door is now in place.

Tomorrow I'll finish the left side wall.

That looks great with the dark blue trim on the white walls. The lettering also looks great. I would never thought to apply them that way.

I know that lining up all those wall layers are a bit of a pain, but the extra work really pays off in your crisp finished walls!  Nice job!

Curt,

Thank you, appreciate the comment.

I can't take credit for the letters going back in the carriers. Darryl showed this process in the instructions. Doing it that way though sure made it easier to do.

Darryl,

Thank you for the comment, much appreciated.

It is a little extra work but like you said, "It really pays off with great looking walls."

I'm having a great time putting this kit together. Everything fits perfectly.

Thanks for releasing this one, it is one of the best I've built.
