Shadowlands and Tellynott

Hi guys.

I made a bit more progress on Thursday.  My other modelling time has been spent continuing on with the baseboard work in Tellynott and painting the ceiling units in Shadowlands.

Hi guys.

I spent Sunday working on the last big chunk of 16mm MDF to replace my polystyrene 'sandwich' in Tellynott.  This is the area from just to the left of the Fiordland Lobster Company - Tellynott Depot, around to the end of the line at the abattoir - at the very end of the peninsula against the back wall.  I have also cut access holes into the MDF below under where the point motors will go.  I have one more small section of roadbed to complete which serves the chemical company and Fanny Schwann's Confectionary Company.

Photo 1 - Shows the area just to the left of the Fiordland Lobster Co.  The large flat area at front is for the SRM Thorndikes Mill kitbash.  The track at back starts a climb towards the abattoir shortly after the small wye turnout.


Photo 2 - Shows where the two tracks cross the river.  The track at front has levelled out again and after crossing the river will terminate at the Tap and Die company.  I decided to just put the roadbed in place across the river and a section will be cut out when I build the bridges.  The bridge at back is a shared road/ rail bridge.

Howdy Mark,

Excellent work with the insert.  I am still amazed when I look at the dock photos.  Mighty fine work.
