Good Morning World;

I am sure others are up and most likely on second cup of coffee f coffee but I will open the day. Plan on enjoying working on Skeeters, I have been doing other stuff time to get back on it.

Hope everyone has a great day. John, still thinking of you and your Mom, it is (was for me) a very tough time.

Good morning , sunny , rain , weather is changing every hour here , stay inside weather it is . Good for modeling and watching F1 qualifying.
The week was devoted to getting an apartment for my parents , my dad is getting a problem going up stairs . So we went and bid on an apartment , they sold one in the same building for 250K euro's 5 months ago , the one we bid on started at 270, we bid 290 and were still outbid by 10K , housing in the Netherlands is going crazy. I just found out I could sell mine for at least 130K, that would be a 50K profit , but I would have to spend far more to upgrade. The only real profit is being made by the tax department and the real estate agents.
Work on my staging yards today .
Have a great day all.
I love photo's, don't we all.

Morning. Jan, housing in certain states here in the US has taken a huge jump in pricing in the past year. My neighbor put his house up for sale for over $200,000 more than he paid for it 4 years ago. Good luck for him if he gets it.

Claremont N.H.in the early 70's on the Claremont and Concord Railroad. Not sure if it derailed because of ice in the flangeways or bad track. I always liked that scheme on their boxcars.

Hi everyone.

Heading to my late friend's house shortly to hopefully finish dismantling his layout. Bringing a turntable back for BandO Guy (Chip) to peruse later. Sold off the lot of Atlas code 83 track/switches for his widow.

Have a good day, all.

Morning,

Getting up today was a challenge, but the smell of coffee was alluring. Grey is the new blue today.

Good morning, all,

Just finished a nice breakfast of buttermilk pancakes and fresh strawberries.  Time for some shopping and probably continue some yard clean-up a bit later.

I've been able to work a bit each day on the Old Head Inlet pier (a transfer point between rail passengers and the passenger ferry launch).  I know I keep promising pics--soon!

Also need to finally finish the engine terminal area--that FSM coal bunker is in place but I need to build the accompanying sand house and get some ground cover down.

Have a great day!

Morning all,

Off to get the wife her second jab in a few minutes.  Sprinkler repair later on after some grocery shopping.  Then workbench time.

Thoughts and prayers to John's family as well as Curt's family (and anyone else who needs them).

Have a great one!

Jan, housing here is also crazy during Covid times.  A house went for sale last summer and sold overnight at list price.  Another house went for sale last week, it is also under contract.  (We'll have to wait for closing to find the public record for sales price.)    Wife wants to move, but I'm not interested at all.  (Too much work in this house, particularly the library with all the built-in shelving, and of course finished basement with the train room/layout-under-construction.)

Yesterday I did some more work on my kitbash, today I should do painting and start final assembly of the windows.  Then I need to ponder lighting and interior.

Morning all.

Appreciate the thoughts, prayers and words yesterday. It means so much.

Made a tiny bit of progress yesterday during a moment where the rest of the house were asleep. I think I'll be posting finishing photos of the Emporium some time next week.

I hope you all have a great day — and a great start to the weekend!

I'm off to collect a little 1.5 gallon shop vac a neighbor is giving away.

Morning,
Craig , sorry for your loss ... just catching up on yesterday's thread.
Housing is nuts out here...many homes have sold for record prices...ever since the trouble in the cities last year...
many people are in hotels trying to find a home since theirs was sold and a new place has all kind of offers on it when they come up for sale...

Good morning! I had to look to see if it was still morning.  I'm taking a break while my brother and his family spend some time with my mother. I think I posted that we are in hospice so we know what is coming. I want to pass along my thoughts and prayers to all the other forum members that are going through a loss in these very troubled times. Craig and Curt and those that I may have missed. I'm getting first hand experience what it's like to be in a lockdown state. Very frustrating.  I hope everyone stays safe and has a great day.
