Morning all,

Short week this week.  Today's my Friday.  A long, much needed, vacation begins tomorrow by driving halfway up to PA.  We'll stop in North Carolina for the night and finish the drive up on Friday.  No more getting up at 0 dark thirty and driving straight thru for this old boy.   ;D

Have a great one!

I have the entire day to work in the train shed and on the layout.

Have a great day ya'll.

Morning, all.

Hump day for my three days in a row.  Great pic, Bob.  I'll bet you were surprised to see that in a train.  Have a safe trip.

Good morning!  Great pics today.  Safe travels Bob.  Just got back from walking our dog...it's already getting humid out there.  Hope to sneak in some train time tonight, but chores come first....right after coffee.

Did you know that model building is a pain in the neck ... and shoulders?

Safe travels to the "land of Reading," Bob!

We got a bit of rain last night, it was raining while I was watering the back garden.  That's "reinforcing", I think.

Yesterday I started work on the track for my visible staging yard.  I'm getting lazier in my old age, I'm not cutting and rearranging the ties, but I am doing my track weathering on the yard tracks.  Plus I did some imagineering on the spur to the FSM Jacobs Fuel kit on the other side of the layout.  Much work left to do there...

Hi all,
Wow.... Tom Boyd hit a nerve in Bob's track cleaner thread regarding Oak Park, IL. Back in the late seventies-early eighties I was big into the collectable plastic car kit hobby and a model group by the name of The Old Towne Escorts (try a Google search on that today and see what you get)sponsored a big swap meet every spring in Orland Park. One of the primary organizers of the event (I believe his name was Tom Lima) was the service manager at Oak Park Ford and your table reservations always arrived in one of their envelopes. Thanks for the memory Tom.

Don't know about you Tom, but MN is melting me!

Hope everyone staying safe and well. Sorry I haven't been around much lately, life is just full-on right now! I've only had a few evenings here or there and they've been dedicated to playing with my laser. Good news is I've got most of my materials dialed in (power/speed) and they are cutting perfectly. Well, all except the plywood. Who knew that plywood and lasers are like oil and water?
