Morning all.

Thought I had slept late, later realized forgot to "roll back" the alarm clock, so I'm up actually up a bit earlier than normal.

Hawkeyes put up 40 points again yesterday.  Last year they averaged 15 points a game, getting rid of the coach's son as offensive coordinator has paid big dividends.

I doubt the Patriots will put up 40 today.

Closing in on the DCC install.  So many tiny wires to solder.  Today I need to solder the lights with their resistors and then put the thing back together after testing it.

Morning Jeff and all others,

The Gators did the same as the Yankees. Georgia didn't defeat Gators, the Gators defeated the Gators.

Today I'll do some track work on the second level of the Ovalix. Nothing else new to report.

Have a great day ya'll.

Good morning.

Foggy here with a heavy frost to start the day.  Temperature dropped into the high 20's in the wee hours of the morning.  With the time change and the sun's earlier rise (according to the clock), it has climbed to 31 degrees as I type this.  Forecast high is near 50 F today and sunny.  If accurate, that's ten degrees higher than yesterday.

Worked more on the caboose yesterday, then shifted gears, and returned to work on a boxcar I am scratch building.  I got the underframe finished and the brake rigging completed on the boxcar.  If it is a sunny day, I'll be taking a ride and some shopping will be the focus.  I need to pick up some new diagonal cutters, gloss coat, and flat finish.  I might grab a couple food items once the modeling supplies have been purchased. ;D ;D ;D

I hope everyone has a safe, warm, and productive day!

Afternoon all,

Back from our weekend up in Mt. Dora.  We had a good time but I'm a bit worn out from all the walking we did around town and to and from the B&B.  Probably just enjoy the recliner today.  Maybe the workbench will call but I kind of doubt it.

Have a great one!

Attaching the SMD LEDs to the styrene ceilings was a real pain!  I finally ended up using thick CA to attach the little LEDs to a piece of styrene strip, then gluing that (styrene tube glue) to the ceiling.

It's not obvious this scene is only 1" deep...

Sweet, good depth perception.
