Good morning!

The sunrise this morning was stunning, a mix of reds and oranges.  I tried to take a photo with my camera and my phone, but both washed out the colors and the pics were worthless...  I guess the old sailor's weather motto was on the money, "red sky at morning, sailor take warning".  We're looking at rain starting around mid-day.  We are very dry here, brush fire last week just a mile from my house.  Looking forward to the rain.

I attended the NYO&W HS convention yesterday.  I'm going to be checking out the material I picked up yesterday, and continue looking up former O&W roadbed locations, rail trails, etc., on Google maps today.

Morning all.

I'm getting ready for my last work day for awhile.  After surgery, I don't plan to return until after New Year's.  

Fortunately we've had some rain here in the last week or so, including yesterday, so our fire risk is low.
