This brings us up to today.

The chute gates were first blackened, then burnished followed by light rust and gray weathering powder. After permanent mounting, I checked, and a single wire goes through the 12 openings. Directions say I should have 3 separate wires, but personally I like a single wire better.

After that I built and mounted a platform where the gates can be operated from.

I'm not sure if I will make it to the train room tomorrow, but hopefully! Next up is building 2 sets of stairs.

All that Iron on the chutes look really tedious, it looks great and well worth the time spend doing that.
