Rick, studs are done, but now I have to do the top and bottom sills.  For the double-windows, they way I did them is a bit wider, so I'll have to cut new top & bottom sills (x 17 windows).  I'm still pondering the machine tools, my orders from Crow River and BESTTrains arrived yesterday, and the replacement copy of Gustavson's Machine Shop book arrives today  :o   At some point, I'll need to stop research and just decide on what to install.  I need to do the tools, the operators, and the belt drive before I can do any more -assembly- on the model.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Yesterday was a bust with the pump. We discovered after unwrapping the impeller that a piece was broken off. The missing piece was not in the package, that tells me the company knew. :-X Now we have to wait until Tuesday. :-X  :-X I beginning to think fate is against the pool.

Today between 12-3 the dishwasher is supposed to be installed. I'll try to get back to the build today. Next up is building a base for a small water tank and a fuel tank.

Kathy and I went out last night to a English Pub for supper. The Guinness was great but the food was so-so.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Curt and others,

Thanks for breakfast Curt and good luck with the dishwasher install. To bad about the pool issue, been there and replaced the impeller on my pool two years ago.

Pam wants to order a pizza from Dominos, so I guess pizza is on the menu for this evening.

My plan for today is finish the carpet tiles in the train shed. I can cross that off my list so I can add two more to the same list. One step forward and two back.  8)

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

La Pine weather: A slight chance of showers between 8am and 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 61.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Fluffy pancakes for breakfast today.
Fresh churned Wisconsin butter, Michigan real maple syrup and sides of bacon and/or sausage are out as well.

Karl, hope it's all good news about the blood draw.

Jerry, did a workbench get made?

Ron, I'm not excited about this weekends race.

Dave, deciding where the machines go and how to install all the belts was the hardest part on my engine house build.

What did the rest of the crew do yesterday and is anything planned for today?

A guy in a very large backhoe showed up yesterday and told me they were closing the road and I had to move.
I guess they were going to do some logging.
I found another spot not too far away.
Edited and uploaded a hiking video yesterday and I did sit outside and have a cigar with my coffee.
Todays plan is to do a longer hike.

Hiking video from last week: https://youtu.be/yoWZoPAyDdE

Have a great day everyone.

Rick

Curt, thanks for the second cup.
Sorry about the pool issue.

ACLTom, enjoy the pizza.

Larry C

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast this morning. Hope the pool woes come to a
conclusion soon. Fingers crossed the new dishwasher is a breeze. Have fun with your build.

Rick enjoy your hike and thanks for breakfast #2.

Tom enjoy the pizza and Shed time.

Well looks like we're almost to the 100 page point; will be interesting see if we can start another
thread or not. Maybe just keep this one going?

What's your day going to be like?

It's yet another rainy day @ 46 with a high of 50. Hopefully we get a break Sunday and Monday with warmer
temps. Have an errand to run late morning so maybe some bench time beforehand. Not much else going on
here.

Have an enjoyable day!! Be well and keep yourself safe.

TOM, I worked for Dominoes for 4 days in 1971, right after college, I got a ticket the 3rd day while delivering on MSU campus...trying for a job in Law Enforcement, I quit.  Was not a fun job or atmosphere, MGR picking one up off the floor and cooking it was final straw...

Until it got too expensive and unpleasant, I'd always celebrate a blood draw afterwards with a McDonalds breakfast.

Nor'Easter coming in this afternoon, snow in the mountains, just rain and wind here.  Still chilly, though, it might make 50, down to 45 tonight.  I brought in the plants from the back porch until the storm passes.  And I feel bad about people with big plans for Memorial Day.

Curt I had the same thing happen. Some brand new broken junk someone else ruined.

Blood work went well. no bruising this time.... but no McDonalds!

Yard is mowed trimmed & done. Gena has that root canal this afternoon.

Good afternoon folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck with the pump and dishwasher.

TomACL, congrats on the completion of the carpet tile.  Funny about the list growing anyway.

Rick, thanks for lunch.  ;)  I loved the lizard, buzzards, and doe.  You were a little close to the edge there for a while.  One of my railroad ops friends grows hazelnuts there.

Larry, I thought you guys were finally above the 50s there.  Have fun at the bench.

Karl, glad the vampire trip went well.  Happy Birthday to the Doll.

Dave, hope you stay warm up there.

Jerry, enjoy the company.

Philip, congrats on the completion of the lawn work.  Good luck to Gena at the dentist...

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a bright day with a high of 84°F.  I spent the morning working on the water tower.  Finally tested the track and the turnouts, and the track did the job.  The Braves game will occupy the evening hours.

Have fun,
mike
