Rick

Good morning everyone.

Idleyld Park weather:Showers, mainly before 2pm. Currently 35 and a high near 46.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and muffin.
I'll have to see if you've posted a new update.

Dave, guten tag.

Greg, hope those bids go well.

Mike, no hiking yesterday but probably today.

Philip, have a great Monday.

Jerry, is the grill ready for the Memorial Day weekend?

James. nice picture.
North entrance is still closed and I'll explain why in a bit.

Ron, where'd Max get all that extra speed?

ACLTom, what a shame to be forced in the train shed.  ;)  :D

Karl, I guess that bird doesn't know the words to the song.  ;)  ;D

TomO, all packed?

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I made it to Crater Lake NP yesterday.
NP #24 for me.
It was only 28 and lightly s%$#ing when I got there.
The s@#$ alongside the road was taller than the van in many places.
No hiking until at least July unless you have s^%$shoes or skis.
It was pretty to look at though.
Only road open was to one of the overlooks.
Here's what that looked like.

Rick, that's one of those photos I need to save and look at in August, when it's hot and humid...

Good Morning All,

Larry thanks for opening and breakfast.

Well the pool pump repair is stalled for more parts. After getting it apart we discovered the impeller was cracked :-X. The new parts are supposed to be here tomorrow. The new dishwasher is supposed to arrive tomorrow also (store).

Today I'll continue to add details to the diorama. I'll post a couple of progress photos later. I would think that the exterior details would be done last but there are still several construction things to do, but I'm following the instructions.

Rick shame about the hike. You could have Star pull you in a sled! :o

Dave we can use the photo here now. It's already in the mid 90's.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Dave, guten morgan.  Wie geht's?

Rick, yikes, s%$#?

Curt, good luck with the pump repair.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's an overcast morning with thunderstorms in the forecast. Not much on the agenda today other than time at the bench.

Have fun,
mike

Grey and chilled the word for today, all week, in fact.  Add in some rain at times and we have a fugly week coming up.  50s as highs.  >:(

I finished the mowing, went to the store for some supplies and upon return the Doll's friends that "just happen to be driving by" had planted themselved in the living room for an unexpected visit... >:(  needed to get the neighborhood report on the wire I guess...cancelled my plans for a nap.

Watched about 1/3 of the NASCAR All-Star race last night, it did come in good on the computer but didn't grab me like days past.  Ended up just chilling with the Doll until bed time.  Plenty to do today so that's it for now.

Nice and cool pic, Rick.

Everyone have a fine day.

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.

Dave have a nice day.

Rick what a beautiful picture!  That doesn't even look like it will be gone by July.

Curt I guess you could always wash the dishes in the pool until then!!  ;D
Be looking for the next update.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/64 but oh so windy!!
Later on 76.
Well the grill is fixed and working.
Yesterday I opened a new bottle of Silverwood to stain some wood.  Only thing was it turns the wood a light brown not gray.
I emailed him to get a new bottle waiting to see what he says.
Diane has a Dr. appointment this morning follow to find out about here bloodwork.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning from the chills of Wisconsin. Feels more like Fall than Spring. 46f degrees but feels like 31!

Rick, I am packed for Wednesday. Got confirmation Saturday my golf clubs and clothes arrived on Maui. That's important as anything I left there shouldn't fit. Too big...

Because of the cool temperatures and high winds on Sunday most of my day was at the bench in the train room. I can't remember the last time I zoned out enjoying the weathering. Yesterday was intermodal chassis and containers.

I'm not sure what will happen today but I doubt I'll spend much time outside. There are no honey do lists items to be completed.

Enjoy the day
TomO

Philip

A good Morning to you all!

Nothing on the agenda except a pharmacy run later. Worked on the Camelback/Decoder install last night. Nothing but paint prep and body filler.

More possible severe weather today. The terrorist from the sky ain't playing this year. Just imaging if these photos were populated!

Good morning Larry, Dave, Rick, Curt, Mike, Karl, Jerry, TomO, Philip and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee Larry.

Going to keep it brief today, as I'm having a very busy day. :o

Rick I could use the white stuff now, I'm not used to this heat and humidity here.  I thought it was humid at home, but it doesn't compare to here.  I think the track plays into Red Bull's strength, lots of curves and short straights.

Philip, you sure can see the path of the tornado.

Currently 85 and hazy here.  After checking yesterday, I went to get an oil change, the car's first one, then watched the race, read a bit and then made dinner.  After dinner I spent some time at the bench where I completed adding the lights for the third building.  I'll post an update tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Afternoon all,

I've been hard at it in the train shed today. Well, playing hard in the train shed.

I feel for those in the path of all the destruction. I believe I'd rather sit through a hurricane than be in the path of a tornado. We need to count our blessing for sure.

Ron, the heat and humidity here in the true south is much different than the dry heat of the Midwest. Pam has been in the pool for the past few hours. I prefer to stay in the train shed AC. I can get wet in the shower.

Well, back to my Romper Room1

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

My Oregon weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Beef empanadas for breakfast today.

ACLTom, I see you're here too.
Any news from the shed?

Ron, I saw your update.
Great job, especially when you consider it's N scale.

Philip, better the tornado went through there than a residential area.

TomO, golf clubs?
I guess your arm is doing better which is great news.

Jerry, maybe that bottle was mis labeled?

Karl, I used to enjoy NASCAR, but I eventually got bored with it.
F1 is more exciting.

Mike, I'm impressed with all your progress upstairs.

Curt, Star a sled dog?  ;D
Now that would be something.  :)

Dave, glad you enjoyed the photo.

Larry, how's the roofing going?

Greg, any good news on the bids?

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Rainy, gray and chilly all morning yesterday.
Finally in the PM some blue sky appeared and Star and I were able to get out and do a 4.5 mile walk.
Today's plan is to hit the gym and head to a lower elevation where it's a little warmer.

This was from Saturday's hike along the Rogue River.

Mild wake up to be intruded upon mid day with rain, high winds and rain for 24-36 hours, temps low 50s ::)

Little new.  Busy with stuff.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice photo and looks like the creek is running quite fast.
Safe travels today. One side of the main building roof is attached.

Karl nice Hummer photo. This time of the year there's lots to do for sure.

How's your day going.

It's a cloudy 45 with a high of 56 in New York.  Managed to get some porch paint yesterday but
it was too cold and damp to paint; hopefully Sunday and Monday.Going this afternoon for eye exams and glasses for both Ellie and I; I can hear my wallet screaming already. After that stopping at Arby's for "roast beast" sandwiches for dinner; yum. Not sure about any bench time today though.

Have an enjoyable day. Be well and stay safe.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. I haven't had a empanada in years.

Yesterday I had just sat down at the workbench after chores when my wife said "we need to go to Costco", so being the man of the house I put my foot down- on the accelerator to Costco ::). After that I had no energy for modeling. :(

Today I have a project in the kitchen. The pool parts are supposed to be delivered today.  If that happens then pool work tomorrow. The dishwasher will be installed Thursday afternoon.

Rick I can see in my mind Star outrunning the multi dog sled teams because of her energy levels.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. I hope you have safe travels to warmer climes. Your photos are amazing.

Larry, good luck at the eye docs.

Curt, don't you wish Costco had model train stuff? d

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's overcast with a forecast high of 89°F.  Work on the water tower continues.  Today, I hope to design the roof and supporting tank structure.

Have fun,
mike
