Morning All, Just coffee today.

Heck of a sunrise Rick! Hoses are done. Used 1/4" yellow fuel line from Oreilly. All the connections are done and that PIA headliner is in. Trunk grommets on deck today. I have a couple water catch cans in the trunk for now.

Tom, I share not feeling the mojo (funk) here?

Jerry! 4? om gosh...good luck

Larry The front that went thru last night was a doozie! Poured bucket yet again.

Oh fun Tom!

Mike, Not sure if I can even read anymore or have the attention span.

Howdy Dale!

Well the sector from my foxhole is clear, have a great Thursday!

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick.

This morning while feeding the animals we discovered that Boo (white fur and black eyes) had passed away during the night. He was about 6 years old which is earlier than normal. After a cup of coffee I laid him to rest in our back yard.

Since then I have been working on "wood" detail parts. I'll post a photo later.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Rick, Larry, ACLTom, TomO, Mike, Jerry, Philip,, Karl, Curt and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the Coffee Rick.

Going to keep it short this morning as I just got out of one meeting and have another one to go to shortly.  Thursdays are always a busy day for me.  Currently 72 and slightly cloudy here.  No modeling last night, not sure if I'll get any done tonight, but I'll try to get at least 15 minutes in.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out with a walk at 49F and very windy. It felt much colder than it actually was. Yesterday I competed coloring the "wood" details. After lunch I took one of my rare naps. I needed it after several nights of poor-ish sleep.

Today after floors I will get started on the 55 gallon drums coloring and weathering.

Dave thank you.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Curt and others,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

Today we take Emee to the Vet for her nail clipping and get some doggie treats. Credit Union follows and then who knows?

Yesterday I fixed the two broken sprinkler heads and was planning some yard work. As Curt said it is windy and cool so the yard work later may be a no go for me.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast this morning.
Sometimes a "Power Nap" is all you need to keep going.
Have fun with the details.

Tom hope the Vets visit goes well and there's always tomorrow for
yard work; something I'll hopefully start in a few more weeks.

What's going on in your neck of the woods.

It's a cloudy 32 with a high of 45 with sun later in New York. The usual Friday
errands soon then some bench time to get the ply in place for a backdrop on the micro.
Not much else going on here.

Have a great day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Lake Tahoe weather: A slight chance of s#$@ showers before 11am, then a slight chance of rain and s$#@ showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 44.  ::)

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Naps are one of my favorite parts of the day.
Sorry about Boo.  :(

ACLTom, seems like a lot of sprinkler heads get broken.
How does that happen?

Larry, have fun with the micro.

Greg, hope there's another calm day today.

Ron, hope today work is less busy.

Karl, that's a big change in the weather.

Philip, any news from the bench.

Jerry, I'm sure you had a great time with the kids.

Mike, I haven't read a book cover to cover in one day since I was a kid.

TomO, Maybe a funk here but I see you posting a lot of weathering on FB.

Star and I started the day with a 4.8 mile hike with 676' of elevation gain.
Beautiful area and someone mentioned on FB it looked like Ireland.
It was foggy and that created some interesting light and mood.
About a half hour away from Lake Tahoe and I'll drive that later this morning.
Lot's of s!@# still on the ground here.
Wanted to spend the night in the Tahoe National Forest but over a foot of the white stuff everywhere.

A picture from yesterdays hike.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee and breakfast.  My condolences for Boo.

It's a bright morning at 34F headed to 65F.  The wind howled all day yesterday.

Still painting details.  I need to weather the box car and add a few bits. My family is coming for an annual get together next weekend, so I need to clean the upstairs...and then there is another book in the Mars Colony series.

Have fun,
mike
My current builds are a Post Office. and miscellaneous rolling stock

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Sorry to hear about Boo!  :(

Tom are sprinkler heads get broken by the lawn people cutting them off!!
How do your s get broken?

Larry have fun doing those errands.

Rick great picture you sure your not in Ireland?
I have been to Lake Tahoe so many times it was just a great place to go to.
Saw Sinatra and the rat pack there twice when he owned the casino before they took his license away from him.

Karl will there be pictures soon?

Mike looking forward to the new details your doing.

Weather in South Jersey sunny but oh my is that wind blowing gusts of 50mph!!
We had a great time with the grandkids yesterday and their friends.
Not sure what today will bring.
Some bench time later.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning to the Crew. I do see it's still morning. I hit the pillows at the normal times last night , somewhere around midnight but slept almost straight through. A pillow turn at 4:15 and 5:20 but I didn't need to get out of bed till 7:10. I feel good!

We went last night to a traveling Broadway production of the Neil Diamond Musical, a Beautiful Noise. If it's in your area it's a a good buy and a must see. I wasn't nor am I really a Diamond fan but my gosh the songs he wrote! Except for 1 song that I didn't recognize the rest I was familar with the tune and knew most of the words. The cast, especially his second wife was phenomenal. He's 84 this past January and has Parkinson's. The story is a reflection of his life via office visits to his shrink as he is learning to cope that he can't preform anymore. It was well done. Wikipedia has a good write up on it

I spent a couple hours yesterday having to clean up my weathering bench area. It was bad. Even Terry later was impressed.

Today is do or die day for the #1 Women's Hockey team. All year since pre-season they have been #1 and the Badgers play for the. 6th time this season border rival #4 ranked Minnesota in the Gophers sold out home rink, Ritter Arena in Minneapolis. Normally we would be there but Terry has her second cataract surgery Monday. The pressure in her eyes is high but never her blood pressure. The 5 hour drive home Sunday would be too close to surgery time and with 2 past cancellations at surgery time we are not chancing it. We will be watching on ESPN+. The final,is Sunday.

I have plans to be at the weathering stations today. I'm unaware of any Honey do lists, the board is blank and we sure don't need any groceries.

Rick, I just feel lost here beyond Geezers Lounge. Nothing I can pinpoint but it has been a welcoming forum. It's not a modeling funk as for that I actually feel I have been re-energized. I have been posting on my FB page. I am going about my weathering in a much more relaxed time line. I'm basically doing models now only for returning clients. They understand me and I know what they want. I'm not really out there looking for new clients. I'll take them but not looking. I lost 2 of my most consistent regulars because of $$$ and timelines. That is turning out to be a good thing. Just for those 2 combined I was cranking out 30 to 40 pieces a month. I don't miss that. A couple diesels and 5 freight cars a week is plenty. I can do lots more freight cars though if the temporary need arrives. Taking off January and February to regenerate the health has helped.

We are going to a wedding on May 24th in Pasadena, California. Does anyone here understand what California casual for the dress code means?

Enjoy the day
TomO
