Howdy folks,

Philip and Rick, thanks for following.

Today I started painting on the layout, in between moments at the bench, finishing the scrap car.

Here are the three main colors I will be using and reference photos of Caprock Canyon.  The lightest color will be enhanced with white and brown pigments to make it appear a little more tan.  The base color is in the middle and is a decent match for the Caprock Canyon and Quiteque soil.  The darker color will be for the lower sections of the rock and accents.

That's it for now.  Bending over the layout, stippling all that foam is painful on the back.

Curt, thank you for your support.  The layout is based on Caprock Canyon in the panhandle of Texas.  I love those red tones. ~mike
