The next BCMC project is a simple hand car.  I misplaced the kit when I built the maintenance shed and found it today.

The kit is an O-scale hand car from Wiseman Model Services and is still available as of this posting.  The prototype appears to be D&RGW.

I think I will paint it yellow with black wheels.  Today I drilled all the holes required for construction.

Howdy folks,

The hand car is progressing well.  There is quite a bit of drilling tiny tiny holes in narrow casting that takes time, but the effort is worth it.  

The hand car body is composed of two section.  The following photo depicts the bottom section.


The top layer supports the wood decking and the frame post and deck.  In this photo, the frame post is set in place before gluing.


Next will be deck boards, hand car lever, and connecting rods.
