Good morning,

Surprise! A first for me to open.

It's too eatly for breakfast but there is no line to the K-pod coffee machine. No high starch foods, just coffee!

Have you ever found yourself running out of disk space and having to buy another. After a few years you have 10 drives that could be replaced by one drive today?

Good Morning All,

Waiting on the dry wall people to arrive so we can finally finish the whole house plumbing project that started on 4 Dec.  >:(

I hope everyone has a good day.

Roads are iced over here on the North Coast.  Not expected to get much better
Personally, coffee and breakfast will help cure most any weather problem.

Just gotta find the hot sauce for the breakfast burritos.

Stay safe folks. Keep it on the rails.

Morning all,

Marty Tech. waits for no man.

I had to put off the visit to Jensen Beach to visit my cousin. Pam came down with some kind of crud, head cold or something in between.

Have a great day ya'll.

Good morning folks,

Marty, thanks for opening.

Curt, good luck with the drywall.

I'm full from the Geezer's breakfast, but I'll share a cup with the crew. Not much on the schedule today but finishing Nowlin's Gas and filing taxes (ugh).

Have fun,
mike

It was chilly this morning, low was about 0, and it was +10 when I took the dogs out.  Snow due later today, and again this weekend.

Some stuff I ordered through eBay (small reduction gear motors) got cancelled.  They hit the temporary mail freeze.  I guess I'll reorder.

PT this morning, then back down to the Ambroid car kit.  I'm making slow but steady progress on that.

Good morning everyone.

Marty thanks for the second cup.

It will be sunny and low 70's here in Palm Springs but will be cooler in the forested higher elevation I'm traveling to later.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning.  I need a second cup of coffee to feel comfortable while I listen to the rain outside.

I have a CD with all the issues of Mainline Modeler on it.  I'm moving the issues to a memory stick so I can read them on my iPad while I'm traveling.

Good morning!

Thanks for the coffee.

Putt in around in the shop as usual. Gross outside with pouring rain all night.

Have a great day!

Morning crew.

Overcast and windy here South of the North Coast. Already had too much coffee so I'll pass for now.

Speaking of disk space. I've got two 2terabyte Western digitals and two 1.5terabyte unknown maker. One 2terabyte disk is hooked to the drafting computer along with two USB memory sticks. One being 60GB and one being 8GB

My regular computer has the other 2terabyte hard drive along with the two 1.5terabyte hard drive and along with a 30GB USB stick. I think I'm well covered for storage for now.  :o  ;D

Bench time is on the agenda for today.

Take'er safely today.

Good Morning Everyone;

Just finished my daily stock trading. I found the trick to actually making money are:

1) Invest only money you can lose then stop, like gambling.
2) Trade very small makes the fun last longer.
3) Unless you have a lot of market experience don't even try it. Wait a minute those with a lot of market experience have learned not to day trade.
4) Don't day trade.

Hope that helps anyone thinking of it.

Appreciate the coffee and the conversations. I'm on coffee number three, that will be it for day. Yesterday I worked on making wall mounted outdoor lights. I remember a time when tying a fish fly knot I could nail it first time almost every time. Nice memory, took me over an hour to get the wires into the shafts of just 10 lights, I'll finish up the bending, gluing and painting today.

Tom hope the Babe feels better soon. Marty I bought a MacBook Air in 2011 that came with 128 megabyte hard drive. I just knew I could never fill it. Today it is still running and now only used to run a laser cutter. The good news is Apple makes them to last, the bad, technology makes them out of date the day you buy them.

Everyone enjoy the day.

Good morning from Wisconsin.

Since retirement my wife plays the stock market along with all the other financial markets. She does day trade. Her biggest advice to anyone in it is to ignore all the media about stocks. Do your homework, work within your financial parameters and know ahead of time when to get out

Morning all.

About investing. We have an investment guy. He's done well by us. He invested in "transportation" such as shipping lines. Can't get goods across the ocean any other way right now and planes can't carry as much as s hip. He also invested in the railroad industry. Can't move large amounts of product without using some form of rail transport. Another good investment is credit cards. They're used more than cash. As a matter of fact I had a bounce last year of 7 grand I had to take out or get taxed on it. My railroad budget expanded greatly.

Bench time or layout time today.

Stay safe and warm.
