"The Trammel has a curved  on the bottom."

Ohh... So it won't bear on the rail for the whole width of its cut?  Just a tiny bite?

If so, that's elegant.

The wood trammel is only a half inch wide.
So it's pretty easy to cut a measured radius arc using the nail as your center point.

Some final thoughts.

Each side of the A frame superstructure was built at the desk,using wood of course. Thin brass wire supports and a boat load of NBW castings became part of the detailing process. Then both sides were glued to the trestle portion.

Today, while getting nothing else accomplished, I spent a couple of hours
looking back into some of your inspiring threads. This one in particular is
one of my favorites. I always was intrigued by anyone who could bash a turntable
into a workable unit by using their brain and a few parts. You have shown that
here. You don't give yourself the credit you deserve but I find it interesting.
If I remember correctly, the following picture you posted of the hillside turntable
was the one you had hoped to make to honor our mentor and fallen friend
and model railroader, Frederic' Testard.

That's some cruft that something (possibly a spamblocker on my browser) sometimes adds to posts.  It's harmless.  (If you were not seeing it, that would be more concerning.  But since you see it, it's just 'random text' to the browser.)  I -think- it's addressed at blocking "Login with Google" on some other websites.  

There's been lots of previous discussion on this, and no one has actually figured out what causes it or more importantly how it could be harmful.

Ok, sounds good. Seems like it only happen to you though. I haven't seen it on anybody elses post.
