Ron,

I remember this project of yours. A lot has happened since you last posted. Wars, plagues and pestilence. It'll be fun to live once again in N-scale middle America.

Thanks Larry, now that the modules are set up the plan isa to continue to work on the town, which means street lights is the next project.  ;D

Thanks Rick, it would have been a shame to just leave them boxed up and gathering dust.

After catching up with my own thread this update is called. . . . . . .

Let There be Light

According to my own thread, the next step for the town of Henderson is installing the street lights.

NscaleModule228.jpg
I used Woodlands Scenics lamp posts (part #JP5641) which comes in packages of three.  Four of the lamp posts were used on the module with three of them on the FW Woolworth's block.  The lamp posts are part of their "Just Plug" system but I have no plans to use their system.  So I tested the lamps with a 3v button battery and lo and behold, the lamp lit up with no smoke being produced afterword.  ;D
This means I need to add a resister before using my 5v power supply.

NscaleModule229.jpg
I added the forth lamp post on the other block.

We have light.  ;D

Another view of the lighted lamps.

NscaleModule232.jpg
Thought I would turn off the room lights and create a more dramatic shot.

This is going to be a pretty bright scene when the building light are on.  :o

I'm guessing that the next item will be hooking up all the LED's to the 5v power supply.

Thanks for looking in.
