Thank you Curt, Tom, Jeff, Ron, Rick, and Jerry for your nice compliments. I keep surprising myself with just how much detail I'm able to squeeze into a 3.9 sq. ft. area.

Howdy Larry,

Nice completion of a fun build. The chronicle has been fun to watch.  The details add a lot to the structures.  Good luck with the scenery.  I'll be watching.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Layout scenery and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Mike thank you. It's actually starting to look like a railroad.

Small update:

Been whacking away at the scenery the last few days. Now everything north of the top track is finished; including putting down dirt in between the rails.

Even though it was a little fiddly the ground around the turntable came out pretty well and it still works fine. Put in some overgrown patches and weeds behind the turntable; I'll finish the front around it after I get the front facia on sometime soon.

Switched gears somewhat and I'm working on a "buck board" from Berkshire Valley just to have a small horse drawn wagon. Once that's completed I'm go to work on the front facia for the layout; thought it would dress things up a little. Thanks for stopping by and leaving all those wonderful comments and/or suggestions.

I've done a BV wagon kit in HO.  They go together quite well, but of course those parts are really delicate.  The problem I hit was how to hook up the wagon tongue to the horses, AND THEN move the assembly from the workbench to the layout.  Their cast horses/mules (great to have mules) are much heavier than the wagon parts can hold.  One approach would be to mount them permanently on clear styrene.  Another is to try to hook up the tongue after they're on the layout.  A third is to let the tongue just 'hang in mid-air', but that places a lot of torque on a really small part's glue joint.  So I'll be interested to hear how you approach this.

Great little TT. Did you scratch build it?

Dave I couldn't imagine doing a wagon in HO and yes the parts are very delicate. If I build another wagon I'll buy just the chassis which comes with wheels and scratch build my own top.

Curt thank you. Yes the TT I scratch built using a thin CD case and CD; just remove the cover. It does work better using HO track compared to N.

Jerry thanks and for the Birthday wish. YA, don't remind me but like Ellie says "It's just a number." Some days I feel like 40 and others more like 90. Lol.
