Lights on, bumped the thermostat a bit. Fruit, bagels, cereal & the fixins' on the counter, Luftwaffle batter and bacon by the griddle.  Arc Weld blend in the coffee maker, hot water urn ON, milk and juice in the fridge.

Gray and damp on the NH seacoast, forecast for all day.  I have one errand, then back to playing with my new BLI 2-8-4. Most of my time has been spent fiddling with the sound; I mostly care about the whistle/horn and bell, as I've never found a model that comes close to prototype steam & diesel sounds, particularly starting & stopping.  It was loud enough out of the box that two in a room would make conversation difficult...

Good morning everyone.

Sunny and 61 later here in Sacramento.

James, thanks for the second cup.

Star and I will do a hike and then head to Lake Tahoe where it will be colder.

Have a great day everyone.

Happy First Day of Spring (at least to those of us in the northern hemisphere.)

Well, I've more-or-less finished the home office pick-up/put-away.  There's always more stuff to go through, but at least I can see the floor :-)

So off to the train room.  I'll look closely at the new roof parts, and figure out the way forward with them.  There's still the fit of the roof onto the car to consider, which may require reshaping the car ends.  And the train room always needs pick-up/put-away.  At a minimum, I can clean up the mess in the utility closet now that the replacement ethernet cable has been run to the 2nd floor and 'buried' behind the siding.

Morning all,

Last time I checked it was 54 outside. Supposed to get up to 81 though. Once it gets warm enough I think I'll go out and wash the pollen off of my car.

Have a great one!

IMG_1965.jpegGood Morning Everyone;

James thanks for opening up the clubhouse. I see the coffee is on so life is good. Weather here is wellllll great. Blue skies going into the 70's later.

I've been working on the flour mill and using the laser to help a neighbor out, I am cutting soft foam to create a rectangle with circles cut in rows. The holes will hold pill containers. The foam is an inch thick which appears to be limit of this laser. I am cutting at 100mm per minute so each foam rectangle takes about 30 minutes to cut but the product looks just like you'd get at a store. Here is a picture of what I am doing. Hope everyone has a great day

Mornin,' All!

Happy Spring!!  33, and the "feels like" temp when I got up today was +8, but it's gone up to 22, so maybe there's hope.  Grey blanket on top, white sheet down below, and it's the heavy wet stuff, so... yuck!  Op Session last night was fun, and the rain stayed "on" until I was almost home, when the WGFA kicked in.  May need more coffee and a nap....

Housekeeper made it in today, so it's time to dig out the other computer, pay some bills and so on.  Thrill a minute around here.  Make it a great day. All, and stay safe!

Good afternoon all.  I've been busy preparing for a long trip we're taking - departing tomorrow.  I still have a suitcase to pack.

I finally finished the brewery I've been working on.  Here it is sitting temporarily on the layout.   I posted the details of the build on the RR-Line and will post an abridged version when we return from our travels.

Afternoon all,

Been busy with 1:1 stuff that I needed to do. I did repair two sprinkler heads and now I can water tomorrow morning. It is much to windy here today.

Hope all are having a great day.

Stay safe ya'll.

Hi Phillip;

Fumes not really an issue. I have a power vent connected to the hood that goes out window so that makes it easier. Still I opened the garage doors as the weather was great and no sense taking a chance. Sorry the picture did not come through I must have done something wrong.
