Cold damp rain and wind with scattered peeks at the Orange Orb the atmospheric highlights for today.

An extra log in the stove as the Pullman Porter's blend fills the Silver Bullet. Scrambled eggs with chives, sausage, bacon and chorizo from the Super Chief. OJ and diet and leaded sodas and Southern Crescent Sweet Tea and Lemonade round the first class fare this morning.

There was a quartet of beautiful streamlined ere cars on this morning's Lake Shore Limited The two tone green domes were particularly beautiful. Stainless and yellow car said "PULLMAN on letter boards and Pacific Union" in red. I could read the Obs car markings.

Well, they rushed yesterday to finish our roof in one day, because they were afraid it would rain today.  We got some light rain/drizzle around 8:00, but right now it's sunny and almost as warm as yesterday.   Today's a pick-up/put-away day, starting with the tree-making stuff in the garage.

Cloudy mild day in the Shuswap. Our creek is starting to slow down from the mountain run off. Good for our culvert, but bad for the overall water amounts.

I have been redesigning a mobile home kit into O scale from HO. Lots of rework required due to material thicknesses and size. As well, since it is double the size, it needs to have 4X the detail so it does not look toylike. Always a challenge for O scale kits.

Dave,

What is this "sunny" of which you speak??  Here in the northern mitten we woke up to WGFA all over the yards and the cars, and it's been off-and-on rain/snow/"wintry mix" all day since.  Blowin' like stink and it feels chilly indoors despite what the thermometers say!  "Sunny" is a commodity we could really use right now!  Got any to spare?

Nope.  The sun is gone and replaced with low clouds and some showers...    But it was nice while it lasted.
And I just heard a rumble of thunder...

Karl, that stainless observation on the Lake Shore looks NYC to me. If I'm right, it knows Elkhart well.

As Dave says, most of the day was sunny and 60s. We got a late afternoon thunderstorm, but it didn't bring much wind to the lower Merrimack valley.  I didn't get a lot done today besides one tax filing and a Zoom meeting. But after looking over the Forum, I'll go up to the layout and open my package of signal parts from Showcase Miniatures.
