Morning all,

Busy day planned here.  It's going to get to 80 degrees later, so I have some outdoor chores this afternoon.  Taking the wife to PT and going out to lunch as well.  A garden cart arrived yesterday which needs assembly, so I suppose I'll be doing that as well.

It's a beautiful day in this corner of Virginia.  We're about to go for a walk.

Yesterday, Dave asked to see some pictures of our trip.  I could post some pictures of our favorite pubs, cafes and beer gardens, but I'll just show you some railroad pictures.

The first picture shows a photo of a visit to the oldest model railway club in England.  They model in 4mm scale (OO) and have a large sectional layout that they set up at exhibitions.  They don't have room to set it up in their building, but they had a small section to see.

The second is the inside of the Eurostar train that runs from London to Paris.  It takes about 15 minutes to cross under the Channel.  The board posts messages about the journey.

The third is in Bavaria.  This is a cog railway, but since this part is on level ground the cog is missing.  This train will eventually tunnel up to the top of the Zugspitze, Germany's tallest mountain.

Greetings from Reading and SEPTA country. With our atmospheric forecast for the day, it's the first occasion for shorts and polo shirt today.
Latter part of the afternoon is to be spent watching granddaughters JV softball game and then an evening of prepping rolling stock for the Reading Modulars display at Timonium, MD this weekend coming up. Looking forward to being back on the show circuit.
Keep smiling: it'll make folks wonder what you're up to.
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

Morning all,

Nice pictures, George. We'll be heading to Europe in 40 days. Amsterdam to Basel. We'll be doing the river cruise thing so no train rides.

I have to watch what I eat today. Tomorrow is a liquid diet.  Wednesday is 'procedure' day. I've had this one done this one many times, so I know what to expect.

Think I'll place an order with Slim at Railroadkits for some current limiters and what not, then head out to pick up lunch. Afterwards some workbench time.

Have a great one!

Good morning, all.  George, I've never attended a British model show, but I have ridden through the Chunnel and made many trips on DB MUs. Just never rack-equipped. Bob, if you have extra time at either end, both Amsterdam and Basel have interesting and frequent trains and trams.

The NH seacoast is sunny and the temperature has risen from the 40s to about 70F. Mixed in with other things, I've opened windows to warm the house up and swapped glass for screen in the storm door.  This afternoon will be more cleanup of the layout, then I have to figure out where I was in re-staging after my last op session a year ago.
