Great job Dave. You could put a guy pushing a broom and a few trash cans in the office area.

Do you know of a figure set with a guy pushing a broom?

Thanks!  I ordered that set.  (And I know exactly where I'll put him.)

Howdy Dave,

The office details look fantastic. The floor looks so good with all the details that it would be tempting to leave the roof off.

Have fun,

Well, there is a benefit to doing pick-up/put-away.  I found a package of "Knuckleduster Miniatures" figures (https://knuckleduster.com) that I forgot, and included in there was a figure with a broom, https://knuckleduster.com/products/ho-scale-townsfolk .  (The Woodland Scenics figure I ordered has a pushbroom, this figure has a conventional broom.)  So I guess that'll be a guy cleaning each of the floors.

Now I hate to say it, but that guy with the broom does look a bit like me, at least in the hair department.

Thanks for the two links to little people. Spotted a few pieces I'll be adding soon.

Today I got about half of the windows glazed.  I looted my stash of the appropriate Tichy castings, hopefully I can buy replacement glazing.  I should finish that project tomorrow.

Some notes on the Tichy laser-cut glazing: (1)  use a new/sharp X-Acto blade (or scalpel) and cut close to the glazing to remove it from the carrier.  (2) use a new fingernail file to file off the remaining nub.  This sanding is important to get the glazing to fit.  Use the coarse side to remove the nub, then flip the fingernail file over and use the fine side to sand along the edges to remove any sanding scarf.  Run your fingernail along the edge to make sure it's smooth.  (3) I'm using Testors clear window cement, because I can get that easily.  I take a toothpick and sand down both ends so it's a thin applicator.  Then I pick up a small bit of glue, run it along 3 sides of the window openings (2 per casting for double-hung windows.)  Note that the window panes are often nearly, but NOT PRECISELY square.  They should snap into place for the recessed double-hung window.  (4) After they're dry, go back and put a dab of glue on each corner to lock the glazing into position.  It's really frustrating when glazing comes loose after the model is assembled.

Dave,

Fantastic job on the interior details. As John Siekirk said, "Detail make all the difference."

Hadn't check this post in a while. Nice progress Dave. One thing I wouldn't have patience for is paiting figures.

Like some machining, it looks complex until you get the pattern down.  Then it's easy to do.  :-)
