Morning all.

It's been six months today from my back surgery.  Doesn't seem that long ago.  I can finally take ibuprofen again.  Thankfully, I don't need it.

Another sunny 80 degree day here.

No plans but will work on the FSM kit a bit, I hope.

Yay, Dr Jeff!

It started cloudy, and is predicted to be cloudy, but right now there's just a very thin layer of clouds with blue sky above.  I spent the last hour listening to a software engineering/computer science 'big name' who I've always respected address AI.  Summary, "He's not a fan.  He thinks it dodges the hard problems of understanding the requirements and having a verifiable solution."  Yup!!

Off to the train room, but first time on the exercise machine.  (I can't watch stuff on the machine, if it's something I really want to pay attention to, exercising is too distracting.)

Morning all,

Glad to hear the recovery progresses, Jeff!

My morning started off with blood work. Think I'll hit the workbench this afternoon.

Have a great one!

Late morning all,

I've been laying carpet tiles in the train shed. I took two ibuprofen prior to getting down on my knees.

Taking a break 'til noon.

Hope all are having or will have a great day.

Good afternoon all.  Good to hear your back is doing better, Jeff.  We're having a rainy day, so I've been at the train club doing a small scenery task and BSing with a couple of retired members that were running trains.

Dave, Like AI or not, it's here to stay.  Let's hope all the good promises work out and the bad are controlled.

Good evening, All!

It's 64 here in the northern mitten and the WWs are calling for "rain ending about 6:00 pm."  It's been off and on today, so....  Doc appointments today, moved the summer tires into the car to get ready for tomorrow's seasonal tire change, and managed to avoid most of the downpours this afternoon. Power and Internet, which died yesterday morning, came back on this morning, and I'm now mostly caught up.  Did get some NMRA work done, and hope to be on the layout after dinner.

Be careful, as Friday the Thirteenth is on a Tuesday this month! Be positive, test negative and make it a great Day!

Good evening, all. I've put a few "drink 'em cold" beers in the fridge, and a few from across the pond on the window sill.  Soda and fruit juice on the counter with hot water for tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

I spent the day supporting Seashore's Qualified Bucket Truck Operator as he rigged attachment points on an elderly pole building. We propose to pull the building straight with them before replacing a few failing poles.  And that makes a day which compensates for the calories, and aches to pair with a little alcohol. Came home to a Flying Yankee Assoc. board meeting.  Another day at Seashore tomorrow, this time Track Dept. projects like repairing our Pettibone Speed Swing.
