100% humid, hazy up from fog and rain today in the UP. Already in the 70s with more rain forecast.

Our weather was hard rain and lots of thunder and lightning starting around dinner time. The lightning continued until well after dark and the another thundering session around 0300 sounding like a hollow bowling alley with slow rollers rumbling one after another w/out my "ear buds in" I didn't hear how much rain there was then.

Our neighbor sent us this shot from his trail cam a few days ago.

Afternoon,' All!!

84, feels like 93, and the humidity is at 74% (or so "they" say) here in the northern mitten. Work your own math, but hot and horridly humid come immediately to mind.  Good day to have the A/C on and cranking!  Karl's description of last night's festivities failed to mention that the line of bright red radar images pretty well covered Lake Michigan with a very thick coating.  Yikes!  No major damage here, and have power (OK with that!) , but I have eighty bazillion little bugs stuck on my west-facing office window....  I think they're mayflies, but I don't Know that....  Camera doesn't react well when I try to focus on them....

As to Karl's bear pic, I had a large muskrat on the deck yesterday afternoon, but he disappeared before I could put down the bag of groceries and grab my camera.  And today's offering was an enormous skunk in the back yard, who disappeared into the smoke bush before I could get an image....  Times
 are a'changin!'

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

I spent the morning first with the on-site tech replacing the fiber modem.  That was cool watching the new machine they use to do fiber splices, versus the previous mechanical/manual process.  But the new modem also provides the home phone, and that stopped working.  I was on hold with tech support for more than an hour.  They still don't know what's wrong, but at least the tech said, "I'll call you back when I have news."

That was NOT what I was planning to do this morning...

Wife just got back from lunch with friends at a bakery.  She brought me a peanut butter cookie.

Good afternoon all.  I spent the morning preparing an old mower for the dump - draining oil and gas.  After a trip to the dump and a stop at Home Depot, I'm home in time for a nap.
