On the RR-Line I started a thread called Your Favorite.
It proved to be very popular and many contributed.
It was a good way to learn about different bands and music styles.
The other day Greg (Ensign) mentioned it and Dave gave the OK to start a thread here.

That's a favorite of mine, a great way to start us off, Rick.

Here's another classic from the same time:

Thanks Dave.

Didn't realize the video owner didn't allow sharing the video on other platforms.

Rick,

We  had a lot of diverse music and songs on here when it was on RR Lines.

I have many favorite songs but I'll list this one.

Dave, I'm not familiar with that band but it sounds good.
I'll have to look them up.

Tom, thanks for that classic.

I'm sure others here are music lovers and I'd love to see what you like to listen to.

Ensign

Rick, thanks for bringing this "Your Favorite Songs" topic back to this forum!
I look forward to listening & contributing to it once again!

"It's a Beautiful Day" was slated to play at Woodstock, and couldn't make it.  They were replaced by "Santana".  And as the old saying goes, "The rest was history..."

I first heard White Bird long ago in the glory years of Boston's WBCN, bought the vinyl album (as well as Marrying Maiden and Choice Quality Stuff Anytime). I  ripped White Bird in 2014. Now it's one of sixty four hundred songs on the thumb drive plugged into my car.  I'm in the W's of my first pass through it, in alphabetical order by title. I'll probably hear White Bird on my next drive to the Trolley Museum....

Do you remember the daytime only AM station in the late '60s?  They played some wild stuff...

I didn't find WBCN till I got an FM tuner. I don't think low power AM would have reached the Merrimack Valley. I know WTBS (MIT) had an AM business (the underlying reason why the Apple Gunkies joke-commercials were made). But Boston college radio sure was great while I lived within range. Still my choice when I'm driving in that direction.
