Hi everyone! I played around with this AI app and made these images. It's amazing how it can turn your layout ideas into something you can actually see!

Bernd

Your AI app does not seem to know much about how vehicles navigate. Looks like a massive grid lock about to happen at the T-intersection in the first picture.

Welcome aboard.  I don't know a thing about AI and I'm too old to learn.  Question: What am I looking at?  Is there anything real about your pictures?

Here's a true statement about AI, not only for mechanics, but any other hands-on work.

Well, as formerly mechanical systems (like automobiles) turn into electro-mechanical systems (how many computers in a Chevy Colorado?  I dunno, but I bet it's way more than 10.  This says '20 or so', not counting PCMs  https://www.coloradofans.com/threads/computer-chips.426161/).  Functionality that was formerly done with discrete systems is now being done in software driving computers.  These days, you have to plug a computer into the car to talk to the car's computers, and make sense of all the data recorded there.  So (unfortunately!) I think AI will become increasingly important in diagnosing electro-mechanical systems.  But that doesn't mean human intuition will be superseded, but we -hope- augmented by AI diagnostics.
