There was "celestial dandruff" on the yard this morning, but the roads are clear.  Typical November weather.

Best wishes to Pam, Dave V and his wife, and others suffering from their "golden years".  (Methinks it's all the gold you spend during those years...)

No German class this morning, so I'll get back to the machine shop project after some time on the exercise machine.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Philip.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for Pam. She is getting better each day but still has the cough and 4 days of antibiotics left.

Taking Emee to the vet for nail trimming.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

5th Dave, I wish for better health for you and your wife.

Rick, the 2014 R&LHS convention used a casino in Henderson NV as HQ, but I didn't take any pictures in town.  Full sun in Nevada gave the scenery a really bleached look, and we were usually indoors at twilight.  Here are pictures of a narrow gauge combine being restored at the Nevada State RR Museum branch in Boulder City, Henderson's SE neighbor. The only roster I find online is from 2010; I can't tell if this is SP or Lake Tahoe Ry. & Navigation:

8)  Sun and chilly in MI this morning, last of "nice" days for awhile.

We got up to near 50 yesterday and I managed to get some time on prepping the Deere for winter.  Finally managing to get the mow deck off along with the bracketry for that.  Next up is replace the wiring I messed up.  :o $140 at Deere store.

Although they won the LIONS were NOT fun to watch until they kept at it to tie at the end of regulation and pulled off a great win in OT.  Short week of rest for them as they play Thanksgiving.

Dave B, and wife, all the best and prayers for your continuing health issues.  It's not only us elderly that have issues, our 23yr old grand daughter, the artist of my older logo, has been diagnosed with a serious eye condition, Juvenile Macular(sp) deterioration that will greatly effect her vision over the next dozen or so years.  A voracious reader and talented artist, she's not doing well with the diagnosis.

Good morning Philip, Curt, Larry, Rick, Mike, Dave B, Dave, ACLTom, James, Karl, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Philip, sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you.

Dave B, we have you and your wife in our thoughts and prayers.

Rick, yes Max is keeping it interesting with only 2 races to go.

Karl, so sorry to hear about your granddaughter, it must be devastating for her and the family.

Going to keep it short as I have a meeting to get to.  It's currently 2c (35f) and sunny.  Worked some more on the break rigging on the 4 boxcars.  Got all the brake cylinders installed as well as the air reservoir.  I also managed to bend the wire for the air line between the reservoir and brake cylinder for all 4 cars.  It's very slow progress doing 4 cars at a time.

Have a great day everyone.

Thoughts and prayers going out to all who are not quite up to snuff. Years ago I had an elderly, at least I thought so at the time, lady once told me "The only thing about the golden years that's actually golden is my urine." I laughed at the time.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, mincemeat tarts, OJ, and soda.

Yesterday was a bit fiddly getting the rafters in place until I figured out a rhythm. I shingled the roof card and when it was dry sprayed it black. Today I will finish weathering the roof and attach it.

Also, yesterday MOH made some mincemeat tarts trying out a new recipe instead of making a whole pie since only Dad and I like it. They are delish! ;D What a great wife I have.

Today I have some quick outside chores then I'll head to the workbench. It's great being retired!

Ron do Canadian's celebrate American Thanksgiving also?

Tom I hope Pam continues to feel better.

I hope everyone has a good day.

LARGE COFFEE PLEASE!

Today will be my first day back work after being out five weeks due to my skin disease. Still not "healed" but hopefully within a tolerable range of motion.

Did some fiddling with detail pieces last night.Dug through the meriad of boxes and bins. Cobbled up some observation decks and fire escapes for the complex and primed them.

Likely preparation for the holiday will take priority over bench time.

Thanks for all your support and prayers if late. It's greatly appreciated.

Good morning everyone.

47 now and 73 and sunny later here in AZ.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Enjoy your pie and bench time.

Keeping it short today because I need to hurry up and get in the house before my daughter gets home from work so I can take a shower without waking her.

I hope all that aren't feeling well are doing MUCH better today.

Did a 1.2 mile hike with the two youngest grandkids.
They did fantastic and want to do more hiking.
Getting a haircut, tires rotated and a night in the desert by myself today.

Have a great day everyone.

Larry C

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Mmm....mincemeat tarts.....yum yum. Have fun at the bench and looking forward to an update.

Dave good luck @ work; hope it's tolerable for you and hope your wife gets some relief from pain soon.

Rick sounds like the "apple didn't fall far from the tree" concerning hiking. Enjoy your time with them.

What's your plans for the day.

It's 38 with a high of 51 and rain in New York. Calling for 7 inches of white crap, with wind, Thursday through Saturday am. Had to make some modifications for the dinner time Thursday so our Daughter doesn't have to drive home in the dark if it's snowing. The H-D-L continues with cleaning the shower shortly along with the Kitchen sink. Tomorrow will be floor mopping; ugh. Was able to squeeze in a little bench time yesterday working on the primary belt line; hopefully a little more this afternoon.

Have a great day!! Be well and hope your on the mend.
