I appreciate everyone's continued involvement with the lounge.
I always enjoy reading what everyone is up to.

Dave, can you please lock and unpin the last lounge and pin this one.
Thanks.

Done.  And I apologize for locking the previous lounge after posting the last comment.  That's really not good moderator practice  (but my comment really applied to Rick's previous post.)

I got reacquainted with my mower and finished up.

Pic from the "trail" cam in back, caught a Deere

I also take RAW photos as well as jpegs. I use Photoshop Elements for post processing and have faked HDR photos by image exposure manipulation and the combination of the images. That takes advantage of the depth of exposure range in the raw image files.

Never got to the printer cabinet. Our boy cat decided he didn't/couldn't process a chipmunk he'd captured and I was summoned for Kleen up duty.   :-[  :P

Was able to catch the last 5 minutes of the Lions victory over duh Bears.

Headed to friends for home made ice cream. ;D. That should be a treat.

Enjoy the day all. Seems like summer will be back here for the week. Temps in 80s.

Not much of a rack on that Deer(e), Karl.  The stuff in front doesn't count.

Good Morning,

The coffee pot's ready as well as the other am beverages. Breakfast cheesy scrambled eggs, home fries, crispy bacon and/or pan sausages.

What's your plans for the day.

It's 50 with a high of 78 in New York. Calling the Vet to get Mr. B in for another round of shots and hopefully talking the Doc into a certain medication to heal the tongue cancer; this is our last ditch effort to save his life. The rest of the day depends on the call. Hopefully today I have a small order for some train stuff for my next project.

Have great day!! Be well.

Good Morning All,

Larry thanks for opening and breakfast. Best wishes for Mr. B.

I didn't accomplish much yesterday but I did send an email to Brett at SW. He responded back quickly and said the Foundry kits are done and he was delayed because he had to find a new printer for his manuals. He sounded happy with the new ones. He said I should receive a shipping notice today or tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Today's chores include getting chlorine for the pool. MOH will be back today, but probably around supper time. Her two companions are very slow in the morning.

That's all I got.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Sun and smiles in MI this morning, off to OPS at Keeney's.  I need to make a sammich to take along.  8)

The sky was so clear last night.  I took a couple dozen shots.  May sneak another in one of these days.

LarryC, hope the best for your Mr. B.

Good morning,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and the hearty breakfast. Hoping the call with Mr. B' doc is the best.

Curt, good luck with the SW shipment.  Safe travels to your other half.

Dave, have fun in the class.  I used to be able to speak decent civil engineering German for a couple of construction projects 52 years ago in Germany.  My, how it has faded to nothing but Guesthouse German at most.

Karl, have fun at Andy's.  Thanks for the photo with you and a deer. Nice Aurora photo.

How's the rest of the gang?

It's another bright morning forecast for 85°F.  No rain.

I hope to spend most of the day upstairs.  Away we go!

Have fun,
mike

Good morning from bright sunny Wisconsin or at least my part. 62f degrees now going to the unseasonable high 80's!

Great pictures Karl, glad to see you tamed the Deere. Hope OPS on the Nashville Road were great

Work session sometime this afternoon but pick up time is scheduled for sometime around noon. Very unusual as the Crew Van driver is normally very precise on his pick up times. He'll text us 1 hour before pickup. This is our normally Thursday work session but with 2 OPS sessions cancelled this week the opportunity has been seized for an additional session, which means we are all bored!

Be well

Good morning everyone.

Port Angeles weather: Sunny, with a high near 61.
Only 50 now and turned the heat to take the chill off.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and all the best to Mr. B.

TomO, have fun at the work session.

Mike, hope you make lots of good progress upstairs today.

Karl, great picture.
Nice shot of you on the Deere and have fun at the ops.

Dave, I had my old Nikon D80 Dslr set to under expose by 2/3 stops.

Curt, hope you get the kit by weeks end.

How's everyone else doing?

Karl, I've shot some HDR photos and didn't see the value in it.
What I'd like to shoot more of is photo stacking.
But to do that I'd need my tripod and that's not always practice on my hikes.

Another hike today but Star will sit it out again because it's in the NP.
This hike will be interesting because there's a very steep section that uses ropes to get up.

A picture from Rialto Beach that shows some of the sea stacks and some of the driftwood on the shore.

The translation assignment for German is the first chapter of "Treasure Island."  It's interesting to see the original text, the German, then the translation of the German from Google Translate.

Original:
Fifteen men on the dead man's chest—
Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!
Drink and the devil had done for the rest—
Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!

Auf Deutsch:
Fünfzehn Mann auf des toten Manns Kiste,
Jo-ho-ho und eine Flasche voll Rum,
Schnaps stand immer auf jeder Höllenfahrtliste,
Jo-ho-ho und eine Flasche voll Rum.

And Google Translate:
Fifteen men on the dead man's chest,
Yo-ho-ho and a bottle full of rum,
Schnapps was always on every hell-trip list,
Yo-ho-ho and a bottle full of rum.

Good morning Larry, Curt, Dave, Karl, Mike, TomO, Rick, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, Hope the vet visit for Mr B goes well.

Curt, sounds like you will have another project soon.

Dave, Google got it right, except for the third line, but i noticed that the German version is different from the English version.

Karl, That's quite a deer(e)  ;D  That's a great photo of the Aurora featuring the big dipper.

Mike, Have fun upstairs, hopefully you will get a lot accomplished.

TomO, Have fun at the work session.

Rick, To bad Star is going to miss another hike, enjoy.  Are dogs not allowed on trails in the National Parts, even on a leash?

Jerry, will you need a road map to find your bench?  ;D  Have fun if you make it there.

It's currently 16c (60f) and clear skies.  Some modeling got done last night but it was a bit frustrating.  I finished the front of the retaining wall (except for the NBW castings) and started the wing walls.  For some reason I didn't get the angle for the slope right and trying to correct it only made it worse.  After looking at it I tossed it in the trash and attempt No. 2, that went much better.

Very little modeling gets done during the week as by the time i get home from work, have dinner and clean up, I'm usually done for the day.  At least the 3-day weekends make up for it.  ;D

Have a great day everyone.
