I'd add some spilled ashes/cinders where they'd clean out in front of the boiler, and maybe some oil drips around the engine (glossy drips.)  Otherwise, the coloring and weathering is spot on.

Howdy, Larry, the belts and fence add interest and character to the diorama.  Nice work.  ~mike

Update time:

This is the other end of the diorama. Added lots of overgrowth by the building, weeds, and scrub grass then added the dirt. The window is an old disused one with the bottom glass broken; even though it doesn't really show up in the photo. The old cable spool was a freebie from Rusty Rail I've had for quite awhile as is the barrels with junk. Both were colored with chalks and clear alcohol before weathering was added.

Here's a shot from the front looking towards the back with enough detail to tell a story but not so much as to look like it is never taken care of. Next on the agenda is the front part of the diorama. I did order another truck and some more drums from Sierra West for the front and will be going heavier on the scenery material. Thanks for stopping by and for all your great comments and/or suggestions; they are greatly appreciated.

Larry,

That looks wonderful. Hank should be very proud of his machine shop. It all blends together well, scenery, shop detail, track and weathering.
