Morning all,

Biscuits and Gravy, excellent breakfast Rick, thank you.

Thanks for the "grats" on the Winter Challenge. I believe all forum members are winners here as we all support this forum. Thank you Jim D. for being our forum owner and sponsor.

Pam and I have a Lowes run later this morning. She wants to get some new plants for around the pool. The pool is another story which I'll share tomorrow with photos.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning,

Rick, thanks for the coffee and tasty breakfast.  Safe travels.

Congratulations, Tom, Larry, and Mike, on the Winter Challenge awards.

It's a cloudy morning at 59°F, headed to 75°F. Yesterday I weathered the boxcar.  I'm not sure I like heavily weathered rolling stock, but it does add variety.  I'm anxious to work on the layout scenery, so that is in the planning stage.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Tom is correct, a good plate of biscuits and gravy is hard to beat. Very nice video.

The plane was on time both ways! We were home by 1 pm yesterday. We used Uber both ways for the first time and it worked very well. Our rental car was supposed to be a compact but they were out so we got a mustang for the same cost. The problem with that is getting in and out of it!

We were pretty much in Central PA, and made trips to E.B.T., WMSR, Enola yard, The RR museum at Strasburg, along with numerous train stores and quilt shops.

I think my favorite thing was the tour of the E.B.T. repair shops and RH.

It was cool to cold all week in PA so it was an unpleasant surprise to walk out of the terminal to 89F with humidity. Welcome to FL.

Congrats to all the winners in this year's challenge. You are all excellent modelers.

I tried attaching a video but it's too large so I'll have to upload it to YouTube first.

Curt, glad your trip went well, and there were no problems with travel.  I've gotten a lot of variation when I've reserved a 'compact' car, but never a sports car.  That would be wasted on me.  I once got a full size Cadillac, that was so big I had to get a friend to 'ground-guide' to park it!  Our last trip, I got a 4Runner.  Ugh.  Wife could barely climb in and out of that.  But the previous trip, I reserved and received a Polestar 2 EV.  That was my first experience driving an EV, and I liked it.  Polestar is a joint venture between Volvo and Geeley, and the interior was very similar to my wife's Volvo.  That helped a lot, although I never quite figured out how to turn the heat on :-)

It's sunny with high haze, but rain coming mid-day.  Scotch Club will probably relocate to our Laird's covered back deck.  In between, I have to go buy Mothers Day Cards...

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, with a view like that I would have stayed awhile.

Congrats on your challenge win Tom and Larry.

Curt, glad you made it back safely and you had a great time.

Current temperature is 8c (47f) but the sun is out.  ended up going out to dinner last night with the Mrs some and some friends and had a great time.  I also managed to spend some time figuring out the size of the case required for the DCC-EX system I plan to use for the N scale modules.  I have all the components, just need to finalize how to arrange them.  I look online at project cases and they were either too small or too large, so I decided to design and print my own case.  ;D

Have a couple of errands to run, a couple of hours of work and then the rest of the day should be mine, hopefully.

Have a great day everyone.

8) Sun and clouds the weather in MI, 50s.  A day to chill out after the run around yesterday.

The Doll's eye surgery went fine, she says it feels more irritated on this day two than the first one did.  We will be back at the Doc, Monday for a recheck.

We love our 3rd 4Runner.

Biscuits and gravy, sure sound good! ;D

Be well all.  Looks like and thread swap coming soon. :o

Tom we're still about a month out from planting; nights are still unpredictable temp wise. Watch the lower back when planting.

Mike thanks and have fun planning the scenery.

Curt glad you had no traveling issues. At least you had a sample of my weather; better now than the middle of February. Enjoy your warmer weather.Thanks.

Dave our Daughter rented a car once for 5 people to travel to Chicago, way to compact and cramped for a 12 hour drive; never again.

Ron thanks. Hope your design and car printing goes well. Thanks.

And those famous last words........

Karl have a restful day and glad the Dolls eye surgery went well. No 2 procedures are exactly alike even though we expect them to be.

What's your plans.

It's another on & off rainy day @ 48 with a high of 62. Hopefully soon we'll be getting more sunny days than rainy; lots to do outside that needs to get done. Never made it to the bench yesterday; maybe today.

Have an enjoyable and safe day!! Be well.

Good Morning Folks;

Congratulations to all the Winter Challenge winners. Now I need to get off my butt and finish up the 3D detail parts. I found some great ones and will make sure I send them out in the participants modeling gauge. Won't you know the guy winning top spot is in New Zealand, his will be going by snail ship!

Deb and I are heading back to Florida on the last day of our cruise, it has been a good one, I actually won at the casino! Deb thanked me for the winnings as they will cover the cost of boarding our two dogs. I hope to get back into modeling this coming week but I sm sure there is some house work waiting for me first.

Hope everyone has a great day.

TomO/Tloc

Good afternoon Crew. I'm so out of practice about stopping here, I forget. Weather in Wisconsin is below seasonable but low 60's are ok.

Saw the grandson play his 1st Bantam level hockey game this morning. In the USA our Peewees (10-12 years olds do not check (hitting)when they are in their 13th year they do. He will be 13 in November so he qualifies. He's still undersized at 5'2" but plenty of time to grow but there were 6' players out there this morning. He got rocked twice but his speed and understanding of the game help him. 2 goals and 2 assists and in the 3rd period he played defense instead of wing. It will be interesting when he comes over Monday and we discuss his playing defense. This afternoon at 4 he has soccer and at 8 another hockey game. Nothing tomorrow!

My day is a mess so just relaxing until dinner

Karl, my second eye cataract surgery was still great but I needed the eye drops much more than I did for the 1st eye. Almost 12 years later and I still marvel how cararact surgery turned my eyesight around. Best to the Doll on hers

Be well and enjoy the day

Rick

Jim, thanks for the nice picture and congratulations on the casino win.

Jerry, hope some siding was done.

Larry, hope you found some bench time yesterday.

Karl, good news about Vicki's procedure.

Ron, I'm sure you'll come up with a good design for the DCC.

Dave, I'm sure you found a nice card.

Curt, glad you had a nice trip and I look forward to seeing your video.

Mike, I enjoyed doing scenery.

ACLTom, hope there aren't any serious pool issues.

How's everyone else.

Not much to see or do between Rapid City and Sioux Falls, so I spent most of the day driving about 300 miles.
I'm about 10 miles from Sioux Falls and I'll head there later and walk around town.

This is from the hike I did in Rapid City on the Spring Creek Trail.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a rainy 51 with a high of 59; supposed to clear up later in the day. Our Daughters coming over this afternoon for Mother's Day so that'll be nice. Having pizza, wings, and mozzarella sticks since Easter was a full blown home cooked dinner.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Beautiful scene. I would be very happy living there except in the winter! ::)

Started out the day with a walk at 75F and humid. Yesterday I spent a couple of hours painting 55-gallon drums. That will continue today after chores. Tomorrow Dad flies in around 1 pm, Tuesday he has a hearing test midday and Wednesday he has a dentist visit midday.

For Mother's Day MOH and daughter are going to a day spa.

TomO it was great to see you posting again.

Larry enjoy your family get together.
